It was a ludicrous yellow card. Bruce clearly got the ball without touching the man. His momentum took him into the Leceister player but he already had the ball.
Didn't Bruce get carded against Chelsea for a slide tackle he cleanly and clearly won, too? Anyone got videos of these tackles? We should make a compilation of all the great tackles Bruce has made that have been penalised - it'll make a mockery of the refereeing decisions and highlight just how poor some refs are in this league. People are obviously afraid to speak out though, you always get a fine for speaking about decisions and everyone feels the need to use the "I know referee's have a tough job to do..." line before trying to make a point about a poor decision. I bet there are former miners and trawlermen sat at home thinking, 'poor refs, they really do have a tough job watching football and blowing a whistle at the correct moments'. It's ridiculous - they get paid well to make big calls - if they constantly f**k up, they should be dealt with and/or re-trained.
How many of you on this thread used to criticise Bruce Jr? I know we have the village idiot Charon, anyone else going to own up?
When he first signed I thought it was an unusual move. He'd just been released by a side much worse than ourselves and played his last season in League One, whilst we were a team looking to get into the Premier League. The whole thing reeked of nepotism at first. However, ever since he started playing for us I've had nothing but praise for him. He was **** in midfield and I think he's exposed in a back 4, but as the centre of a back three, he has always been excellent.
I don't know how to look back at my posts but I can guarantee I always defended him, especially after his great tackle on Suarez when we smashed the Scousers.
I don't see why that rule shouldn't be changed. It must be because there would be a log jam of decisions needed!
I have criticised him when it's been deserved, same as any player, I'll also give credit to any player when they deserve it.
Glad I wasn't as quick to dismiss him in the Bruce Signs thread. He's been outstanding for us - every time he has pulled on the shirt.
I didn't think a manager should ever sign his own son. I still don't think a manager should ever sign his own son. I'm still waiting for s response on the Southampton thread where you wrongly accused everyone of being a 'bunch of tarts'?
