All the set piece goals we concede are from within the width of the goalposts from approximately six yards out. The majority of our defenders having been drawn out of the central or far post areas. It's so easy to see it's ridiculous. All opposing coaches just look at our goals conceded for the past however many seasons and immediately work out how to cause us problems. Please stop saying (Monk or whoever) it's individual errors because it's not. Defend the central area between the goals properly, so few goals from set pieces are actually scored from either in front of the near post or beyond the far post. Silvestri all day long for me. No better than Green at crosses but a better keeper all round and still has potential to get better.
Seems to me that Green, Grimes and Hernandez are not going to be good enough. It's a shame about Hernandez as he can obviously play and pick a pass but physically he's not capable and I think that is something that is due to age/ injuries rather than fitness. I suppose the good news is all are on short term deals so we are not stuck with them for years like has happened in the past. Hernandez I think is on loan until January, Grimes season loan and Green signed a one year deal. The bad thing is they were all Monk's picks so that is worrying regarding his ability to spot what is required.
Green has to be demoted with immediate effect, still remember the clangor he dropped playing for England, we then need to get the big Turnip head in at CH with Cooper, dump Wood, play the other Turnip Head up front, whom with????? that's for Monk to sort out, but he better get his skates on, if the Tesco bags do a number on us after the break there could be P45's dished out.
