I wasn't going to reply to this thread anymore as I felt my reasonable opinion was spoken down to. Although, I don't agree with that comment whatsoever. In that case, under 16s shouldn't be blamed for any of their actions?

Before you get cranky, I feel the girl did nothing wrong, she had a massive crush on a famous person. I think most kids would fall into that trap.

This is probably going to sound like i'm talking down to you, but on the internet especially you can't treat your opinions like a delicate piece of bone china that can't be touched. Once it's out there you have to be prepared for people to poke and prod or even try and throw it against a wall.

FWIW, I agree with your view that six years is too long, but I also believe that he won't serve that length of time and the actual term he serves is going to about right, IMO.
As you said yourself, there is a big inconsistency when it comes to sentencing and it can seem crazy when comparing crimes against other crimes, but I think the counter argument is that sentencing has to be open, because the degrees in certain crimes can be so vast. In this case the judge could of gone as far as 10 years. So AJ has not had the book thrown at him.

Always share your views and remember that if people don't agree they're far more likely to reply than someone who does.

Was your opinion really spoken down to, or just disagreed with?
