I reckon 2 is the max if he's found not guilty and though the above reflects terribly on him, it doesn't say he's guilty of anything past the grooming (which he's admitted).
This is interesting though....
Discussions are now taking place about the cast Johnson said he had on his left hand. He told police it came up to the tips of his fingers, from slightly above his wrist, but he has now admitted that it was below his knuckles.
KB suggesting that Johnson said this to police so they would think his hand was immobile, and so he couldn't have unbuttoned or unzipped the girl's trousers as is alleged.

Johnson has said yes, before the meeting he wanted this. But has stressed again that it never happened.

I would hope this will be a terrible lesson to all footballers....but they don't seem to learn. Your career can go up the swanee in an instant. Earlier in the trial today he was asked if he was a professional footballer and he had to reply, 'I was.'
Jurors are now looking again at pictures of Johnson on holiday and discussing his body hair habits. He is maintaining that he only trims the hair around his groin area.
As we have heard, the girl told police when interviewed that Johnson's groin area was shaved.

Can't quite believe how this case manages to get more sordid every day. The guy's a scum bag, and without a shadow of a doubt is going down, Hope the girl & her family disappear with some compo & don't start hanging out on tele making money from all this.

I know I said yesterday that I didn't think the jury would necessary find him guilty on he said/she said evidence, but the prosecution are doing a good job in unpicking his lies. He has had to back track on so many things over the course of the trial as well as from initial police interviews.
The biggest question for me now on this case is why would the girl lie about the sexual elements?

People who claim sexual abuse against them as a minor aren't actually allowed to then go to the newspapers or take money for TV appearances. Likewise, the media aren't allowed to even attempt to make contact with them.
I'm pretty sure it's all legally wrapped up in that regard. Sure it was covered in my media law lectures at university!

Remember when Micheal Jackson was having sleep overs, and the parents were more worried about the pay out than their kids safety? This Johnson case may well have come to light because someone has sniffed a buck. Modern life teaches cynicism. Its sad, but sometimes it true.

That was in the USA. I am near-certain there's legislation covering that in the UK.

Jurors are being handed a photograph of Johnson in the bath to look at.
This was taken after both of his meetings with the girl, but before his arrest.
AJ is being questioned again by the prosecutor about his body hair grooming habits. Jurors are being shown a second photograph taken around a month before the bath picture.
In the earlier picture Johnson has hair visible on his chest, we are being told. In the bath photograph, his chest and torso are bare of hair. Press can not see pics but are being described in court.
We are now looking at some more WhatsApp messages.
The prosecution alleges that Johnson left the second meeting later than he has said. The girl sent Johnson a message saying "texting and driving, eeeeesh" at an hour he has told the court he had met with the team on the eve of a match.
KB has said that the girl estimated Johnson was still driving. He has said: "She was under that impression but she was wrong again."
They are now discussing flirtatious messages sent by Johnson to the girl. He sent her messages saying "was worth it LOL" and "it was class". He has told the court that he was talking about the kiss being "class".
KB: "You are a man of 27 years of age. You were referring to more involved sexual activity than a kiss, weren't you?"
AJ: "No."
Johnson also said to the girl "just wanted to get your jeans off" "I will only last 10 seconds" "It will be too good" and "You felt very turned on "
