Well I don't know what the commentators said as I was at the game with BfB, so I can't say if you have been hallucinating, however yes, Wales will play Northern Ireland on Tuesday. The game is a sell out and will no doubt be announced as 33,000 watching but I would not be surprised to see a third of those being empty red and blue seats. As for the point of the game, the answer is not a lot, but that was the risk fans took in buying tickets to watch the two losers. I think Bellamy will want to take a look at those players that didn't play today, like the Colwills as they are likely to be involved in the game s for the next tournament, which begins soon. Overall tonight we weren't good enough and the substitutions weakened our team and just reflects the lack of strength in depth in the Wales squad.

Is it true that Wales still have to play Northern Ireland on Tuesday? I watched the NI match against Italy and it was mentioned. Also watched extra time and penalties in the Wales match and I think the commentator said that as well. So my two questions are:

1. Was I hallucinating?

2. What is the point of this game?

1. No.
2. Feck knows.

I have a ticket for Tuesday but travelling to Poole today to do the Grandad bit for nearly 2 weeks. I intended coming back Tuesday for the game and returning to Poole on Wednesday. Don't know if I will bother now. No offence to NI.

Tough, tense game that we have the better of for sure.

To continue your analogy Nin, we also have a ref who's not really giving us everything he should be too... Plenty of unpunished fouls going on...

Very uncanny!

I would say the ref was a f'in cheat but that would be an insult to f'in' cheats.

We get them all the time at Wales games. Fussy little men who make a big deal about how tippy tappy goal kicks are done and insisting on doing a dropped ball for unchallenged free kicks but can't make big decisions to save their lives.

He let go so many bad fouls by Bosnia. The no. 5 marking Dan James should have seen red first half.

Perhaps our Div. 1 refs aren't quite so bad.......

Not blaming the penalty takers. The game should have been won in normal time. Score from one of countless breakaway’s to make it 2 and the game’s won. So missed Moore to see the 1-0 lead out.

ps Why bring on a man who has scored 2 goals in the second tier all season and none for Wales for a Premier League player? If anyone bring on Broadhead. Why was Cullen on the pitch? Giving away a sloppy corner which Bosnia converted.

pps Who knows if they’d have been beaten Italy but watching the WC next year with nations who are only there to make it ‘global’ will be galling. Some of those who have qualified is a joke.

I agree totally with your second paragraph. The loss of James and Brooks tore the heart out of our midfield.

Neither Harris nor Cullen are first choices for their teams. Broadhead and Joel Colwill were the obvious choices to maintain our playing style and intensity.

Thankfully Sorba the Leek made a difference down the left side. Now if we only had someone upfront taller than Snow White's friends who would give us a chance of heading the ball?

Finally how the hell did Harris not score from Johnson's head back across the box late on? Was he facing the wrong way? I don't think he even got a touch to it.

I heard that as well. I suppose the WFA had to sell tickets for Italy if Wales had beaten Bosnia and those tickets rather than be repaid, they now can be used for a friendly game with NI.
