You can't fault his ambition - best of luck to him. One point though. I understand that once he's adopted Singapore citizenship, he becomes a foreign player and will have to apply for a visa to continue playing for City.
That would be a buggeration factor. Although didn't he do that already under his English status when he signed for a Welsh club?
It's a UK thing relating to "foreign nationals". Shouldn't be any problem though. Any player who isn't a UK citizen has to obtain a visa to play here - and there's plenty of those buggers around.
Anyone else just waste 2 hours of their lives watching England? Didn't have to watch the paint dry. It was already dry and pealing.
Remember George Berry? Born to a Welsh mother and German father with the iconic hair style (not so much left these days though)
Terrible game. Piss poor performance from so called "mega stars" - it almost made recent City games seem quite enjoyable.
I actually shook his hand after we'd beaten Aldershot at Ninian Park to relegate them from the football league. I think it was round about this time of year in 1992?
Wrong again! The wife is taking her teeth out........... Enough of this banter - I'll leave you to enjoy your International thread ..........but I might pop back again.
Myself and Mrs Brizzle shall be in attendance tonight Cling. Late decision earlier in the week. First time in ages I've actually gone to a Wales game TBH but very much looking forward to it. Mrs Brizzle has even said she'll drive so I can have a beer as well... She's good to me at times aye... The only slight drawback was she decided where we should sit in the ground. Apparently the cheap seats at the top of the Ninian at either end weren't good enough so she made me fork out for the "posh" seats in the middle tier of the Ninian instead... Think they were about £45 each from memory (or not far off that). Ah well, they'll be out of the wind and rain and the bar queue will be smaller I guess, so every cloud and all that!
Not taking anything for granted tonight either with the opposition. Although they haven't scored a competitive goal since 2023, they beat Denmark, Finland and N Ireland (twice) in their Euro 24 qualifying group, so they aren't going to be pushovers for sure. When you look at how many players we're missing too, this could actually be a tricky night.
