    I was in a nightclub one night and when I went along the corridor to the Gents, Supermac was standing face to face with a girl whose back was against a cigarette machine and Supermac was standing face to face with her with his hands on the machine preventing her from moving. Unknown to him his wife was standing just beside them with her arms crossed and tapping her feet. When I came out of the gents, she was still there tapping her feet and Supermac still didn't know it. Pity really because she seemed like a real nice girl and was much more attractive than the bird he was with. They had really nice attractive kids too.

    Shola Ameobi (he wore the no. 9 during an intertoto cup match against Lillestrom because tournament rules stated the numbers had to be 1-11 for the starting line-up).

    Without having seen White, Davies, McDonald, I'd say Cole the goal, although Big Les was class and had a great partnership with Shearer.

    You must have been young when you saw Cole. I remember the day I heard he'd been transferred and I couldn't believe it. Didn't know we'd be getting Shearer though.

    GRB. Thanks for the memories. I was at that game against Bolton. Had a hell of a day.

    Match was brilliant, 3-3 draw, about 7-8000 mags at the game. We ended up playing a 3rd game against them at Elland Road Leeds a couple of weeks later on a Wednesday night after drawing 0-0 at SJP. About 40,000 at Leeds mostly Mags. I didn't get in till nearly half time, we won 2-1.

    Brilliant days when travelling with Newcastle was a real adventure, bricks, bother, booze and women. There were ****ing thooooosands of us everywhere you went, it was like the zulus coming over the hills.

    You didn't need tickets in those days. Not the sanitised atmosphere you get at games nowadays.

    Torn between McDonald and Ferdinand. Would have gone for Andy Cole, if he hadnt left us for the scum! Find it hard to respect plays that jump ship to either Liverpool or Man Utd.

    For me its Cole, given his competition of Mickey Quinn, Sir Les (but only for one(?) Season), Oba and Shirley he's head and shoulders above for his years in the team and ludicrous goal record. Him and Beardsley was the perfect partnership, Pedro sets them up, Coley puts them away.
