    Rodgers seems to be sticking to this system and we are getting some success. With a few players coming back to fitness in the coming weeks, what is our best team?

    For me its a simple move our best summer signing into midfield and get a couple back fighting fit;

    --------------------------Crapallday
    -----------Toure----------Skrtel---------Sakho
    Flannagan------Henderson---Can----------Moreno
    ------------Sterling-----Sturridge------Coutinho

    The front 3 could also line up like;

    -----------------Coutinho
    -------Sterling-----------Sturridge

    Manquillo for Flanno because Manquillo is better defensively and has the pace to get up and down.

    Would like Can playing instead of Skrtel but then I also want him in midfield so it's tricky.

    Apart from that - perfect <ok>

    Due to our previous struggles, it seems to be the formation that is getting the best out of our squad. What is good about it, is that it allows for squad rotation without significantly affecting the balance of the squad. Coutinho, Lallana , Sterling and Markovic can all rotate with a fit Striker available.

    Another thing to note is if you put a very mobile striker up front, the opposing team drops back thus creating space for the creative midfielders. This also allows the wing backs to make runs from deep which are very hard to mark. It is still very early but the signs are promising.

    Slight changes, but I'd go with something like this:

    Mignolet
    Can Toure Sakho
    Manquillo Henderson Lucas Moreno
    Coutinho
    Sterling Sturridge

    Harsh on Lallana and Markovic who've been great of late, but good depth, rotations and options off the bench. Obviously that front 3 will just move around anyway, so putting them in such a triangle isn't really a good impression of how they'd play.

    Unfortunately, we all know Johnson and Gerrard will slot back into the team at the expense of Manquillo and Lucas...

    Spot on that, I'd do exactly the same.

    But yes like you said, Johnson and Gerrard will waltz right back into the team ASAP. Gerrard will play the full 90 of the next 3 games, guarantee it.

    Got nothing wrong with Jones being in there, doesn't get much worse than Mignolet.
