Thanks brb <ok> I do find it easier to lay it out like that and we've always done it that way (Spurly's right lol). The roast spuds were still cooked with the chicken that's there, but when they came out they were separated. All of it was a joint effort, my daughter slated me because I forgot to seive the flour before I started dunking the first few in - got proper pissed off "no, no no dad! we have to do it again!" <laugh> Funny thing is I taught her that!

The trifle was a labour of love. First time we've made the custard or the raspberry compote layer that goes inside. The harder part - the custard, was spot on. Thanks again mate.

Was given the Jamie Oliver book, One, by the in laws yesterday.

Essentially, all meals that can be done in one pan together.

It looks really good, will be trying a good few of them out. Especially as I'll be way a few night's a week down west as of next year.

Will have that book with a pan. Plus the slow cooker of course, and will live in my van when I'm away. **** b&b's.

    ****ing hell.

Sat here, right now, with both my in laws on the couch* asleep. I don't get why they don't just go home.

My Mrs has gone to sleep; not even sure if it's genuine or to kind of say 'we're all knackered, please go home' and they've both just gone back to sleep.

Please, go home for actual **** sake.

    Please!!!!!

*I'm in an armchair, I'm not like sat between them on the couch.

    Thank ****.

I genuinely thought one of them was going to fart.

    Horrific half hour.

    They've gone now.

    Off to Prezzo tonight.

Won't be posting pics as it's standard chain restaurant fayre.

Absolutely have to get out in some shape or form as it has been like Groundhog day with my Mum just sitting there last couple of days.

Can't/doesn't want to do anything due to absolutely ****e weather. This won't be happening next year, she either comes at Christmas, or we go up there for a couple of days. This coming down after Christmas to do **** all when there are a thousand things I personally could be doing ain't happening ever again.

I did manage a game of squash this morning and we went down the beach after and got absolutely soaked. I feel horrible saying this, but look forward to tomorrow afternoon and then going to the match tomorrow evening. I've then got five more days off with plenty going on.
