I have one for just such an occasion. I'm going for Fosse. Just looks classy. Has crackers laid out too. At least now we know where he gets his jokes.
Mrs bought me a coffee grinder and some beans. The coffee from it, in a french pot, is pretty decent tbf. A mellow buzz after a cup. Will chop some wood today I think, make the most of a cold crisp day today before the next three day deluge comes in. Which just happens to coincide with the arrival of my mother, which means we'll be pretty much house bound for the duration of her stay. Joy!
If your upping your coffee game.....I'd say try the ueshima beans or ground coffee.....the house blend is my go 2 after trying the others
Will have a look. Currently drinking this ; https://www.gowercoffeecompany.co.uk/shop/three-cliffs-bay/

That's the best homemade trifle I've ever seen. I always use to find not many people liked trifle, which always meant more for me. I like your way of doing dinner, just chucking everything in big dishes, so people help themselves, caters for all tastes that way. It's how they did it when I was at school, people strangely never use to like many roast spuds, so I'd let people take what they want and wack what's left on my plate. Luv's dinner looked superb, but his portions are too small for this greedy bastard.
We had loads left over ... was just the 4 of us ... but soooo looking forward to Turkey and trimmings sandwiches today ... Usually hate sprouts but we did them tossed with shallots and crispy streaky bacon ... actually enjoyed them ...
I think it was when I was in Junior school, they put dinner on the tables of six like that - it worked well, because when there was cheese stuff the other kids got more, when there was a roast, I got more. All the dinners looked good to be fair, but my eyes do tend to judge on portion size, so for that reason and that trifle Trebs smashed it for me.
Absolutely love sprouts, but I'm like that with most veg, which is quite handy with my diet, although it took a bit of a hit yesterday. If you got left overs, bubble and squeak, see @Chief for details.
I knew I'd blown it this year when I took the pic before putting the pigs in blankets on. It was like Gerrard slipping.
