Works using magnetic induction. So it heats the pan rather than using an electric ring that heats the hob surface. I've got one too, they are good, but you need to buy some fairly expensive good quality stainless steel pots and pans for them to work
I've got a box of 12 from Beer52 waiting at home. Delivered Wednesday and will crack a couple open this evening. No idea what's in the box. This is not Christmas beer, it's lead in to Christmas beer.
Up in Manchester this weekend, hoping I get time to call into Pomona Island brewing. Great beers there.
Defo, only like the stronger beers now. Just cleared the shelf at our local Home Bargains of Piston Head, 69p a can, got to have some of that.
I don't drink too much beer at home, 2 or 3 normally does the job so like the stronger one's 6-7° usually does it.
There's a couple I've got . One is called Caralous Xmas and a st Fiueluen Cuvee Xmas beer . 10% and they taste really nice . Just have 4 of those
Extra safe as the cooking surface itself doesn't get as hot (not quickly anyway)! Also temperature changes on the eye for the pots are pretty instant. Once you turn the heat down it immediately stops heating the pot because it's not still transferring heat from the eye. All the advantages of gas without the kaboom! I don't have a full induction range, harder to find in the states... But I do have a portable induction eye that I use when I need an extra spot to cook. You can get steel plates to place on top of the eyes to make your non steel pots work too so you don't have to upgrade all your pots at once.
Popped in to read a story bowt Jesus or sumt Just change thread title to ‘What you drinking in December?’ ffs
