Unfortunate outcome for the Dutch, but I guess to their credit Argentina did at least make more of an effort to win the match in extra time. Dutch totally lost their momentum in ET. Commentator indicates 17 yellow cards dished out (a WC record). At times ref totally lost control of the match.

Have to say I can't believe the size of the support Argentina have in Qatar, must be at least 40,000 there...... fair play to them

FIFA desperate for this to end in an Messi v Ronaldo final ! The choices of refs for the remaining games will be very interesting.

Nasty ****ers - no sportsmanship there...everyone will be supporting the Croats now

Wow, they must of been bad.

Croats are known to be one of the dirtiest teams on a permanent basis!
Think l might sit that one out.

Just hope England beat the Frogs.
The frogs will start spitting if they’re behind.
Another filthy team.

You can see why Chair isn’t getting a game with Morocco. All their players are as comfortable on the ball as he is, and are also 6 inches taller and faster.

Playing better than Portugal at the moment, one thing Chair might give them is more of a goal threat.

Teams are pretty evenly matched right now. Entering the danger zone of 5 mins before half-time when many goals seem to be scored. The Moroccan fans whistling annoying.

Serious family dilemma in Paris. My lad, seven years old, has been belting out 'allez les bleus' all week. His mother is English, his father is English, his passport is British, but he claims that because he was born in Paris, and has always lived here, he wants France, or 'La France' as he disgustingly calls it, to win. I know there is some heavy playground pressure at play here, all his mates are French and he doesn't want to stick out as the only England fan, but I'm still a little bit heartbroken. Also, in a rather twisted way, desperate that I can sit him down at breakfast tomorrow and break some bad news to him gently, that 'La France' have been eliminated by 'Les Anglais'.
