My gut told me that Iran could definitely win based on their attacking threat against England, but I thought about it and just thought they would concede too much based on what I saw against England, so I went with the safe option of 2-1 Wales. I was considering 1-2 to Iran prediction, so I'd only be 1pt better off anyway. I see Iran getting something vs USA also. They look very impressive going forward. I don't if it's Wales being ****e or Iran are just good and England are even better.
Wales were poor but Iran played some good football. Controlled midfield the whole of the 2nd half. Very unlucky not to score earlier. Really enjoyed that.
Have to love the BBC headline. Iran score twice in injury time to beat 10 man Wales. Wales were only down to 10 men from the 86th minute. Not as if Iran had time to "wear them down" or anything.
Wales are going to struggle going forwards, Ramsey, Bale, even players like Joe Allen etc have been a major part of what they've been able to achieve over the last decade in terms of qualifying and progressing through international tournaments. All of their legs are completely gone now and look bang average. Once they are gone they've got a hell of a job on replacing them all with similar quality.
