I’m sure you are right, Bob. But haven’t you just hit the nail on the head and highlighted something that’s majorly wrong right now with the whole NH season and indeed scene. Focussing everything on 4 days instead of the entire year (or even October – April) as a whole??? Makes for a very distorted campaign.
I see the point Barney but i don't see it as a negative. I love the Festival. I'd almost certainly not be into horse racing without it. The flat scene doesn't work for me. If that was to be the alternative with numerous festivals throughout the year i'd not bother with racing.
Whilst I respect Ballyandy I am really keen on Phillip Hobbs' Wait For Me in this and am by no means discouraged by the fact that Ben Linfoot has tipped him.
Interesting that Gordon Elliott sends over Veinard with the talented Jack Kennedy on board. His only ride of the day. Last seen out in a pretty competitive coral hurdle at leopardstown finishing about 2 lengths off the winner when making a mistake at the last. Has a low weight and can see him running a big race.
