Does anyone think that Konoplyanka would be a good shout for Saints ? Admittedly I haven't seen a great deal but from what I've seen he has been very impressive. He is out of contract but I don't know what sort of wages he would expect though.

I would be tempted for the right price, if it ment getting Austin etc.
Agreed that everyone has their price but would be a bit silly to get rid, the lad is rather integral at the moment.
West Ham continues to be interested in Italian strikers. After the problems with landing Mattia Destro (who continues to be pursued by Monaco), the Hammers are interested in Southampton striker Graziano Pelle', who is coming off a positive season in which he scored 16 goals in 44 matches. After playing for Feyenoord, Pelle' has adapted well to England, and West Ham is pondering making an offer to acquire him.

If I had a choice between Pelle vs Austin ....no thinking time needed. Austin every day
Would rather have both to interchange to keep them sharpe but guess that won't happen
Only in terms of age would I pick Austin. Pelle has way more tactical nous and game craft than Austin. He also has a fabulous first touch.
That's interesting; I Think Pelle's first touch lets him down far too much.

Some of his first touch flick-ons are outstanding. I think I've gasped more times this season re, the little flick-ons to teammates than I have in donkey's years. Incredible touch.
Pelle made some comment about new adventures when he posted a pic of the end of his holiday, but think he was teasing. Can't imagine we'd let him go unless the money was seriously stupid and I can't see West Ham paying that.
