Good signing for them I reckon, a much underrated player.

Is he really underrated by anyone anymore? A few years ago yes, but in the last couple of years if anything he is over rated with people realising what he adds to teams.

Still a good signing for Liverpool, though not really what they need imo. Another solid player, but not really a game changer.

Know nothing about him....other than Liverpool was interested once. That could be taken as a compliment of sorts...perhaps they would prefer we took players, trained them up for a year and then buy them [HASHTAG]#cynicalfan[/HASHTAG]

Perhaps they don't need game changers, but actually a team.

They have plenty of players of the Milner mould though. Henderson, Lallana, Allen are all players who can keep the ball and move it on to someone else who is actually creative at the level Liverpool want to be (so in the current team Coutinho). A midfield with Milner in for Coutinho would be so uncreative for a team attempting to get in the top 4. Plus you throw in his 150k a week contract and alleged £8-10m signing on fee and I just don't see the pointi n spending that sort of money on a player that they don't really need

It depends, I'd say he's comfortably better than Henderson and Allen wouldn't you? And more proven at the top level than Lallana. (Though I'm not sure I'd class them as similar players)

Allen yes, Henderson no. I am a big fan of Henderson’s and actually think he is like the “new Milner” in that he is criminally underrated. I think Milner is better than him, but not by a massive margin. And not enough to spending that sort of money on him. At a guess I think Liverpool would see their best midfield as Lucas, Milner, Henderson and Coutinho in a sort of diamond. To me this isn’t a massive upgrade on swapping Milner for Can/Allen/Lallana and saving the money to go and get a striker/centre back.

If they have loads of money and still strengthen those positions well then it is of course all irrelevant and Milner is a good signing for any club.

I'm pretty sure Can will be in midfield next year, he looks a good player.

Milner was allowed to run his contract down...will we attempt to do the same by pricing Morgan out of the market. After all, he has 2 years on his contract. However well we replace players, it may be a good idea to try and have some continuity from one year to another.

That took a long time to type...had a glass of wine (yes, a whole glass) on an empty stomach...kept hitting adjacent letters, so perhaps I should lie down. :)

Seriously, if konoplyanka goes to stoke we will have missed a trick IMO!
Pelle
Jrod mane konoplyanka would be unreal. He can play off the left or the right, completed the most take-ons in the Europa league this season.
