How utterly pathetic and what a daft way to conduct business.

Never underestimate the stupidity of a middle manager in possession of a new copy of Word or Adobe. Serene in the knowledge that they are 'up to date'. A plethora of missives and commands will issue none of which are readable by minions. Great fun for a while. Though I once drove from Ringwood to Southampton to demonstrate to a NHS manager just what I'd do to his typing fingers if I was sent one more Docx attachment.

Maybe Microsoft started to install an update just 10mins before the windows (geddit?) end.

I'll be amazed if Woodward lasts much longer. What a terrible window he's had. No conspiracy here though - Utd wanted to sell.

La Liga now saying they have received no documentation about De Gea....it wasn't late, they never received it. Wonder if it was sent to the wrong League and at this moment someone in an obscure African country is getting excited about the arrival of a star goalkeeper.

Dear Manchester United. You know that sulky keeper you've got and can't do anything with until January? Well, we'll look after him for you until then if you like?

From the BBC updates:

This summer was always more about evolution than revolution, with Nathaniel Clyne and Morgan Schneiderlin the only two to depart. The loan signing of Maarten Stekelenburg covers Fraser Forster’s injury, with Steven Caulker also given another shot at the top flight. Cedric Soares looks a promising replacement for Clyne, while the £5m signing of Oriol Romeu may be the club’s best bit of business this summer. The Spaniard has looked comfortable and commanding in his outings to-date. I expect no incomings at St. Mary’s today, while Sadio Mane and Victor Wanyama will both remain on the south coast.

Either the VVD deal is off or this guy is clueless. :emoticon-0110-tongu

Missed a bit off there i.e. Virgil van Dijk looks like being the only potential addition at St. Mary’s today,

Appears that Real Madrid didn't put in the paperwork about De Gea and ManU sent it on time. Do you know this might be the most interesting deadline day ever....if De Gea won't play for United, they are royally stuffed in the GK department. <laugh>

Thought Romero was shockingly bad as well for a 'top4 club' GK at the weekend.

I hear that someone sent Vic flying this morning! :emoticon-0116-evilg Off to Kenya apparently.
If he's gone, he has accepted no sale will go through. He's telling people he has been unhappy for a year....he certainly starting agitating towards the end of last season. I wonder what made him unhappy....he thinks he deserves more...or a different problem (such as wants to be in London, problem with team mates). Let's see what attitude he comes back with.

Apparently everything has been in place for the De Gea move for ages, but Real Madrid have been quibbling over the price and saying it might not get done yesterday. They also had to convince Navas (who only spoke to United yesterday). And they were worried because 80% of fans didn't want De Gea at that price (wow, can you imagine if SaintsWeb got involved in our transfers <yikes>).

Kind of hoping we put a late bid in for Austin just to rattle the Spurs cage even more than it is at the moment. The growing panic on their forum is very satisfying.
