Don't forget that not only are Spurs traditionally tight when offering to buy players but they do have the development of their new stadium to finance so don't expect them to be spending much without selling

But given that Lloris and/or Vertonghen may want out to seek CL football, whilst any of Lamela, Kaboul, Townsend, Soldado, Adebayor, Dembele, Lennon, Holtby, Chiriches, Capoue, and Paulinho could be let go, Spurs may well find themselves raising a fair bit of finance.

(Christ, listing off those players doesn't half make you appreciate how big their squad. It's little wonder that they're the only non-big team who can cope with the demands of the EL without it clearly affecting their league position).

Bamford is an interesting one.

So far we've not loaned in a player without the option to buy(Toby being the flimsiest example)

Can't see Chelsea offering that or it would be at Lukaku levels of money.
Guess this depends on Jay Rod.

If he sticks around then, Pelle, Jay & Shane with Bamford would be very useful choice for Europe
It would also give Gallagher & Seager another year to develop

Jay's almost certainly off. I like Bamford quite a bit, but unless there's a (reasonable) option to buy or we're bringing in another striker on top of Pelle/Shane/Bamford, I'd look elsewhere...I'd prefer that we aimed for a slightly longer-term option at striker.

I would love it if no one came in for Morgan (yes I know unlikely). Imagine a midfield three of Morgan, Clasie and Wanyama.

Great idea for breaking up and counter attacking the top sides, but not enough goals for the other 65-70% of fixtures.

Would take Bamford in a heart beat , remember him tearing one of our youth teams to pieces at St Marys when he was still playing for Forest. Came home raving about him , in the next week he signed for Chelsea .

Linked to Quincy Promes. I wanted us to sign him before he went to Russia.
Dutch = Saints must be interested.

We'd have a massive side if we signed all these players we are supposedly interested in<laugh>. However, I hope we do act fast, get the team sorted early....after all we have those Europa matches to win :) Pochettino said he intends to act fast in the transfer window and hope to take other teams by surprise and avoid other teams getting involved....makes sense. In that case, avoid South Americans as they are a pain in the proverbial with their multiple owners and tendency to disappear for too long during international breaks.

And PSG are trying to get Pogba. Morgans choices are getting smaller.
