£25m-£27m makes a massive difference to where you can shop
And what if no team actually bids £25m-£27m. Yes I know it's not very likely, but as it isn't fact that he is going yet it can still happen.

Sky reporting big bets taken on Morgan to manure, have now slashed odds to 1/10. Could a fee have been agreed. Good indicator will be if he's on the plane to Austria tomorrow?

Clasie has been out target for ages. We have talked so it wouldn't surprise me if a agreement was in place for when Morgan leaves.

No, but we might not be able to afford him now without the Morgan money and he may not want to join until Morgan has left.
That's what I was getting at. This could be the second season in a row, where we will spend less than the monies we bring in? Is this our new transfer policy? Only use money made on player sales for new signings? With more money coming in after this season, is it the best way to go. I totally understand the need to run a steady ship but this would lead to not having a transfer fund, and selling players year on year. I know Ralph has said we need to be self sufficient, and I'm all for that, but with £70 million plus being made per season??

I don think there's an issue affording him.

Yeah, we could probably spell out "Welcome Jordy" twenty feet tall in 100 quid notes at the airport, light them on fire, and still have enough to buy him dinner after the transfer.

Have I missed something? Why are we thinking money is an issue?

It's been a persistent theme for a couple years...had thought that the '13/'14 books would have cleared up matters, but apparently not.

I don't think the money argument is the point of discussion. It's more ado about Clasie signing WHEN Morgan has been sold, so he can see be first choice.
