I love the way the board is evolving once again. I thought it may perish. But no Crumble. Kinky. Giach. Zlatan. Quentin etc. Then old names. Horden Cumbrian. Charly farley. Resurface. The yank lads. Then Norton and Fife come along. Good to see.
I noticed it a few days ago, after looking for something on the Chelsea board. It was dead over there. Looked back at our board, busier than ever! And our season has finished!
Otter is very big in Devon, they have the Otter Valley, the Otter Railway line which runs from Barnstable in North Devon to Exeter in the south and is beautiful. The beer comes as Bitter or Ale and I was drinking the Ale which is slightly darker and 4.7 abv ( I think). It goes, down really nice, is hoppy and a proper hand pulled beer. Like most places now there is a lot of micro breweries around and I brought six bottles back from such a brewery from the next village we were staying at.not tried them yet.
You can buy bottles of Ferret in supermarkets, ASDA sell it over here, I asked the barman about buying Otter in bottles but they not do it, missing a trick there like in my opinion
Out of the 6 I bought from the micro brewery they are all strange names, Betty Stogs, Wild Blonde, Hopnosis, Devon Pride, Pandemonium & Stumble Bee.Micro breweries are great at creating strange names but generally the beer is tip top, not had many mingers.
