Its good to see Obika leave a lasting impression on hbic with his last hat-trick for us for a while, he's off to Brighton on loan now.
There is a certain goofy, innocent charm to Holtby that is always fun to see. Sort of like Gazza, albeit without the boozing and fake tits.
Squad for tonight's game at Bishop Stortford: Archer, Coulibaly, Fryers, Gallifuoco, Kane, Lameiras, McEneff, McEvoy, Miles, Smith, Stewart, Townsend, Veljkovic, Ward. We don't do defending, apparently. Nice to see Townsend back, though.
That's the squad, not the lineup! Presumably it'll be Stewart, Smith, Veljkovic and Fryers in some sort of order.
Depends on the ground I guess. Enfield Town FC is a flat pitch, and the rain has not been dire (they managed to overcome it to get a game done over the weekend) . The Os is probably a no-no now with their league fixtures. But if Spurs are trying to meet the quota of "stadium" games, then are we now suffering due to Man Utd pulling out of the fixture that was scheduled at WHL (in favour of some regional cup game) ??
Good to see that it's been sorted out so quickly. Townsend needs to get some minutes under his belt so that he can be considered for a return to the first team.
I think the Geordies are definitely suffering from this 12:00 kick off. 27 minutes and Spurs are 4-0 up! Goals as follows: U21 GOAL - 19 secs: Spurs 1 Newcastle 0. Lightning start from U21s. Townsend crosses and Coulibaly slots home #COYS U21 GOAL - 22 mins. Spurs 2 Newcastle 0. Kane releases Townsend who cuts in from the left and rifles a low dipping shot home #COYS U21 GOAL - 24 mins: Spurs 3 Newcastle 0. Townsend crosses, Kane challenges the keeper and McEvoy smashes the loose ball home #COYS U21 GOAL- 27: Spurs 4 Newcastle 0. Harry Kane turns and produces a stunning dipping shot from just left of the area. Looks like Townsend isn't feeling any rust!
I think that the record scoreline in the new look reserve fixtures is our 6-0 win against Newcastle from last season. They must hate this fixture.
Townsend was subbed at half time, hopefully that's a sign that he's in contention for Sunday rather than picking up a knock. Finished 4-1.
