    So after practice it seems that pole is Vettels to loose, McLarens should scrape into q3 and Alonso seems to be struggling with lap consistency but he should be in q3 around the McLarens.

    That man drives me round the twist. I thought he might have addressed at least some of his irritating interactive manner with other members of the presentation team, but no: he's still as rude and dismissive of others as he ever was.

    I'll not rant on for the moment, other than to say he told all of his audience that the BBC would be back with Qualifying coverage at 1255. His is a complete alien. How the hell did he get back in? – Total *****!

    If Webbers DRS wasn't working and he he had gear selection issues, this points to a hydraulics issue with one of the rear valve blocks
