Not really a huge shock with Night Of Thunder winning, he was unbeaten as a juvenile and probably needed the run in the Greenham. The race reminded me of Rock Of Gibraltar winning in 2002 with Hawk Wing finishing best of all. Australia ran very well to be 3rd and might go off odds on for the Derby. Could be a Guineas double tomorrow for Fallon with Rizeena (like it was in 2005 with Footstepsinthesand and Virginia Waters) - Clive Brittain very bullish about her chances of winning.

Very nice to see Saeed Manana grab a classic winner - he puts a lot of money into the game but his big winners have been relatively few and far between. Many people in British racing owe their livelihood to his perseverance. Big news here down in Bristol - Bristol Rovers go out of the football league. Very poor for our city.
