Mandy Carroll 28/1 E/W Punchestown 2:30 should give a good account of herself in this tomorrow if she manages to navigate her way around safely. Her last win was over 2 year ago in Cork in a Hunters chase and she has been point to pointing mainly since then with mixed fortunes but this is a good opportunity and hopefully a good experience for her and if putting her best foot forward she can outrun her odds. Enda Bolger once again holds the aces and Be Positive is likely to be a warm order to complete a double along with Tuesday's win but I will Be Positive and hope Mandy can run a huge race and at the least bag a place with a little luck.

Evening all - Kingsman tomorrow for me after the impressive run in the Greenham trial last won by u know who in the same colours :) - as a saver gone for the O'Brien 2nd string and happy chops on war command. Also like Bold Sniper in the first at HQ for Stoute and laugh a minute.

Tiger Roll seems a fair price in my eyes, Giggy will be keen to get a nice win in as well as they are neck and neck with JP for the Owners title this year, be very surprised should that form get turned around but then stranger things have happened..

    GERMANY CALLING 1:35 Uttoxeter 10/11
Price available on Betfair as we speak. I was disappointed when this boy got beat at Cheltenham in October but the victor that day has turned out to be half decent (Lac Fontana). He then ran a cracker behind Irving at Ascot before being fairly comprehensively beaten by Vautour in the Supreme. There wont be anything of that class in the field tomorrow and in what looks a pretty average novice it really should be a case of how far he wins by!
CL has been pretty clever not running him since Cheltenham as even if he wins tomorrow he still retains his novice tag for the next twelve months. This horse is quality and defeat tomorrow really isn't worth contemplating!

Its pretty quiet on the saturday daily thread in respect of the big race tomorrow the 2000 guineas..

On my way to court this morning, I stopped in Ladbrokes and had a look at the odds for the 2000 guineas. I took 33/1 E.W on Charm Spirit. I think he could finish in the first 3, wants quick ground which he will get and its a decent price. Won the Prix Djebel on his last outing and a certain Makfi took that prior to his win in the 2000 guineas. Olivier Peslier booked who is an outstanding jockey..

Kingman could well win tomorrow and from stall 1 the same stall Frankel came from prior to his win. Similarities alright but will the ground be too quick?. I dont know whether Australia will be suited to the mile and so I cant back him. I m worried about War Command as he looks very decent to me and pretty streetwise and with Ryan Moore up top but I'll stick with my outsider.

    14.40 Newmarket- Sole Power- 4/1

Is a huge price for him tomorrow, mostly down to his lack of perforamce over in dubai imo. But that would have given him the perfect build up for bigger prizes in mind over the summer. He has been given the identical preparation as last year and he won this exact race last year too. Has Ryan on board which excuse if im wrong is the 1st time he is on board him tomorrow; Should be given a fast pace to aim at tomorrow which will suit his late burst speed tactics

I'm on this too Wooley. The class act in this race. Also on Gospel Choir and Kingman (who is absolutely nailed on and value at 7-4 even in a classic race)

And as Regal Encore owes us all a fair bit - I'll risk some more pennies to try to get back to even!

Punchestown day 5.... your having a laugh right?

Trading Leather should be 2/5, Group 1 horse running against Group 3, wouldnt mind being on at the 5/2 Stan James offered.

Kingman could win like Zafonic, none of the others can say that, on at 8/1 but 15/8 looks a very fair price, its basically 15/8 for him to stay another furlong and if he does I doubt you will see odds against him in a 3yo race after this.

Cloudscape is a class act in the making, if he was mine he would be aimed at the Cambridgeshire for a Pipedreamer job but looks like they are going a different route as they can say bye bye to 95 when he hacks up in this. Better horse than Western Hymn for my money and I wonder if they are seriously considering the Derby after tomorrow, 50/1 just now and worth a chance e/w at those odds. Looking back im quite surprised at the roll of honour in this race, Pinza, Shirley Heights, Slip Anchor, Tenby.... Gosden actually won it with Presenting who went on to run 3rd in the Derby, Dr Fong went on to win the St James Palace, Beat All and Beat Hollow both went on to run 3rd in the Derby. Bout time another class horse won this and Cloudscape has a long way to go to reach those heights but I like him a lot.

Kingman does look seriously useful Eddie but likely most of these will run a career best as is the norm from 2-3 years of age.

Most of his market rivals are drawn higher and Gosden says the 1 box isn't ideal but with a field of 14 this shouldn't be a problem.James Doyle dismisses stamina as an issue and says it took him about 4f to get him back to a canter after the Greenham.

Hardly need a bet to watch a Classic and I won't be having one, despite the suspicion that Kingmans principal rivals will be better over farther.

The most fascinating runner for me tomorrow is Un Temps Pour Tout in the much discussed 5.30 at Punchestown.

This one cost a fortune and hacked up at Ascot. The collateral form is rock solid. He was touted as a major Festival candidate so it is really surprising to see him turn up across the Irish Sea carrying top weight in a 24 runner h'cap hurdle in only his third run outside of France.Strange placing and risky for such an expensive prospect...Can't fancy him tbh..big ask on the ground.

The ground is also an issue for my mates horse Benemeade,in the same race.Spoke to him a couple of hours ago and he isn't pleased that they are planning to put 5mm of water on tonight...he needs it good at worst. They had planned Ger Fox to ride but he can't do the weight so Nina takes over.He is a little out of the h'cap but ran a cracker lto behind the horse that chased home Beat That and Dan Poli earlier in the week.

He suggests a moderate e/w @ 25/1 with PP paying 5 places but more in hope...I'm might throw a tenner e/w at it but no more.

PM also co owns Hitchens etc and said they are quite excited about Robot Boy who they bought off Qatar Bloodstock. He ran well at Windsor where Gibbons was less than impressive on him on seasonal debut.

This is one I have been advised to keep an eye on...David Barron thinks he's better than 87.

4.20 Punchestown Adriana Des Mottes - backed her in the Triumph Hurdle where she was bought down when stablemate Abyssial fell. She showed there were no ill-effects from that when taking a Grade 1 mares hurdle at Fairyhouse last time in facile fashion. She will have to find more today but she has a real engine and gets 7lbs from the boys and at around 10/1 she looks a nice e/w bet.

I'll put her in an e/w double with the Spanish colt Noozhoh Canarias in the 2000 GNS - could be anything and 20/1 looks too big based on his Longchamp run.

    Best of luck folks <ok>
