A bit carried away there Grove, but I like it! While I think of it, in all the years I've been going to football matches, I have never been to a game where the crowd had such a huge say in the result than our 1-0 win against Chelsea. The away team were totally bemused by the crowd, then rattled and then angry - all in the first 10 minutes. If we'd been a passive bunch, I don't think Drogba would have been so rash as to be sent off with a two footed tackle and I don't think Terry would have let his mouth run away with himself.
Afternoon RTID. I think you summed it up nicely there; our support at the end of the day is for the club irrespective of whether the club through it's agents, manager or owner makes decisions that we'd prefer they didn't, to put it mildly. In that sense then we're not fickle, only in our principles and standards. The real ne plus ultra line is probably what Wimbledon did; almost anything else we'll put up with.
EvilEshens, well known mob when I was a lad, and them Oxshot Woods all around? Gary Lineker must drive in and out in a fekkin tank...
Not supporting QPR is not an option. If it was it would have happened a long time ago, probably when Houston was in charge. If by "withdraw your support" you mean not going to LR, that is an entirely different question. Some of you may struggle with this concept, but if, for example, we signed Diouf and he was scoring bucketfuls of goals for us, I wouldn't go. I wouldn't put myself in the position of having to cheer for him. Before anyone asks, if Barton scores, I will cheer the goal, but not the scorer.
Not supporting QPR is not an option. If it was it would have happened last summer when them Goons was rippin' the heart and soul out of both club and fans... then God (face in the sky, long white beard, hooped shirt) brought Amit back from the Mumbai wilderness! Two laws proven in this thread then: Godwin's and now Eamon's*... *For the uninitiated, Eamon's Law is a version of Godwin's that replaces Hitler/Nazis and internet, with Goons and this board in the context of anything that ever goes wrong with this club has it's roots somewhere in the Ecclestone, Briatore, Paladini era!!
I'm saying he was critical of people (like me) who he felt jumped on the bandwagon of blaming the Goons for anything and everything!
