Thatcher has had dementia for a decade and no political influence for 20 or so years so why so many young people are out in the streets celebrating is beyond me. Even if you hate her she has suffered a slow decline and death and that should be enough for you.

I don't think a minutes silence at this weekends games is appropriate but neither is rejoicing in the death of an old woman.

I don't know much about Carol, but I would gladly rip Maggie's arm off and beat Mark Thatcher to death with it, he is just as twisted as his old girl. If he isn't in prison somewhere in the world, he should be. The man is a unscrupulous crook, who thought he could make lots of money off of mummy's name. So if this being honest about his evil bitch mother causes him to kill himself, we can throw a double party!

And why can't young people take to the street. I have educated my son in how I was brought up, he is fully aware of what an evil demon she was. IF he was to have gone down to Lime Street and celebrate why shouldn't he of? Do you have to be personally involved to revel in good news? Would it be wrong for a 18 year old jew to celebrate Hitler's death? Can only those in the concentration camp be permitted to enjoy the fact? Sounds like more Daily Mail bollox to me.
 
Nob, i work in the private sector, and have worked in the public sector. I've seen lazy arses in both, on the shop floor and in all levels of management. For every pig-headed union obstruction you refer to, I've seen infuriating accountancy and HR decisions taken to close down organisations and/or departments because, even though they're profitable, it suits the career path of some twat from Finance or HR who'll continue on in their meteoric rise and leave some other poor sods to mop up the mess.

But one line in your response sums up everything to me - you have a skills set that's in demand, so you can move if you choose. Good for ****ing you. And I have fantastic blood pressure, run 10k races and I am very, very fit for my age - so why the **** are we spending money on heart research and surgery for other lazy twats and people not as fortunate as me? Diabetes research - what's that about? Let's all go back to being hunter-gatherers and might is right. We'll soon see how many pencil-necked, seven stone, specky geeks who are good at sums and computers survive in a winner-takes-all society (not that I'm suggesting YOU fit this description).

Is right. I'm sure Stalin had family too. And Franco, and PolPot, and Ivan the Terrible and so forth. These are the ****ers who kicked an elderly, frail and dying of cancer Nye Bevin down the ****ing stairs and the Mail and the Telegraph joined in the laughter. **** them.

I am a fat bastard ;) As I say, I am not totally anti-union, and I accept your argument, they just need to stop. They are there to protect the workers, not to make them untouchable, or to get them a myriad of benefits that cost the company.

It's the left and the right, I can see both sides, and I use to be a Liberal until ****ing Clegg wrecked that for the next 30 years, now I just think all politicians should be taken out and shot.
 
Hitler died quite young, but a lot of the world's tyrants manage to live longer than most people because of the money they steal to pay for private health care. Culpability does not decrease with time, unless that time is spent fixing your mistakes or serving a punishment for them.
