I better not post views then because they would definitely offend :D

A toned down version is that the woman was a psychopath who did nothing for Wales and the the working classes in other parts of the UK. She had a hatred for us that's for sure and that's why there's so much venom directed at her on this and many other boards.

I have to say that Dai has got it just about spot on with his 1st post above, no need to celebrate anyone's death but to have flags flying half mast is a disgrace and an insult to the Welsh people

Trust me, that is really toned down

Dilli, bugger off to the pub for a few pints and then come back and really let loose :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Yes Dai - we should have let the Argies win. <doh> Your name isn't Chamberlain is it?

Yawn. Everyone's entitled to an opinion but as Chico says, political views don't matter.

The fact that people here are dancing at the death of an 87 year old grandmother makes me have an even lower opinion of some of you than I have already - if that's possible.

You claim you don't wish to discuss politics, but yet you bring in another former PM.

I didn't say she was a decent human being, but she was a human being. To be compared to Hitler is beyond belief.

As for the whole of Wales hating her, not true. South Wales, yes. But from the people I have heard from today, alot of mid walians were fond of her.

Don't make assumptions.

I'm at the pub watching the Manc derby at Valleys request. You lot really shouldn't encourage me to drink.

I did have a glass of milk before I left the house though just to remind me of what Thatchula took away from me when I was a schoolboy.

Valley - I've changed my mind. Get over it. Or am I not allowed to do that either?

Well said Chico. <applause> Some of the comments here are disgraceful no matter what your politics are. But I'm not at all surprised.

Dilli: "I would pay to know the opinions of Simon Weston and his brothers in arms"

You don't have to pay. Weston was on the Welsh news praising Thatcher as "the right leader at the right time". It's war, and people die. As a soldier he has the sense to know that. We were not the aggressors there - unlike the illegal war in Iraq....and I voted for Blair. <doh>

what difference is there between someone who looked down on people and stripping them of their dignity and stealing their homes and jobs and leaving them for dead starving for food....young and old it did not matter to them as long as you obey their ideology...

Who am i talking about thatcher,Hitler or both.....think about it...

I`m not celebrating her death, neither do I mourn it. To be henest I`m a bit glad that she has finally gone. Mabon & Dai are spot on with their posts
Remember, the coal mines and the steel works, and shed a tear for those, remember when we had manufacturing bases, and shed a tear for those, remember the 3 million lives destroyed to bring inflation in line and shed a tear for those, do not shed a tear for Margaret Thatcher, she did not shed a tear for us. "

The downside is Marky Mark will have to leave the USA now and come back to this s###e hole of a country to see his mother off at taxpayers expense, and I daresay no expense spared, even though this country is way over it`s head with debt coming out of our earholes.

David Cameron has just sent this offical letter to the Thatcher residence.
It starts "I regret to inform you that due to recent events you now have too many bedrooms..."

Remember these famous words that she (paraphrased) spoke on being elected:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is discord, let there be unity;
where there is doubt, let there be faith;
where there is error, let there be truth;
where there is dispair, let there be hope;
where there is sadness, let there be joy;
where there is darkness, let there be light.
O Lord, grant that I may not so much seek happiness for myself,
to be consoled as to console,
to be loved as to love,
to be understood as to understand.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

That went out the window straightaway. Her word was`nt her bond.
No I`ll not mourn the "iron lady", neither would I dance on her grave.

Just realised you're a right cheeky bugger Valley :D you and that bloody PGF have got everyone convinced I'm a Pisshead.
You're lucky that I have laid back attitude, am easy going and have a sense of humour :D:cool:

Ash, stop Fcuking modding will you please. You've been told, don't do it til you're feeling much better. This thread will stress you out no end and Neveroff is around to keep an eye in things. Dilli knows best and you know I'm right
