Life's just kept me busy, mostly been finishing my degree. I was actually one of the youngest posters on this board when I was active (compared to some on here that's not saying much though

I've had various injuries and a hip replacement. I think I did thanks you at the time, but the piece you posted on here when my youngest daughter was considering taking a year out to go to Guatemala was instrumental in her not going. She ended up getting a first instead. So,

You did indeed, it's no problem at all. I'm glad it worked out. In the meantime a friend of mine visited Guatemala for a few weeks doing some volunteer work and loved it, so maybe things are getting better there after all. That being said I still can't stress enough how living there is different to visiting with a local tour guide so she made the right decision.

She's now going to Mexico in February, but with another long standing boyfriend who I like and trust. I'm not saying no this time, though I didn't actually say no last time
What are the odds of that?
