Just had a brilliant game vs Liverpool U21s. Pace, creative, selfless, and a mean cross on him.

If Lallana is still a doubt for Norwich I think he deserves a seat on the bench.

Good appearances from McQueen and Sinclair aswell

And Forren. And Targett played well too. Will see him next season as backup to Shaw, no doubt. But Forren looks good to come in on Saturday for Yoshida.

Rowe looks one hell of a talent. Would not be disappointed to see him on the bench for Saints.

If the worst happens and we do go down, at least we'll have one hell of a squad for the Championship.

I've not seen anything of him, but his name does seem to keep on coming up. Certainly if an injury or two were to hit us, I would rather see his name on the bench than, say, De Ridder's (who must be about ready to return now, it was only a one month loan was it not?)

We have so many class youngsters, Rowe, Chambers, Targett, Mcqueen, Shaw,Prowse and Stephens and a few more.

Prowsy, Rowe and Targett all played fantastically tonight. Forren and Stephens looked good at CB too

Whenever I see a small player in a team, I'm always wary because they are usually good (otherwise a big guy would get picked). They have a lower centre of gravity and turn well. Omar delivered a good corner and gave them trouble all night. The Liverpool commentator called him Southampton's danger man. Could have won last night, but we were tiring at the end and the Liverpool team looked older and more experienced...don't know if that is true. At one point, we had 7 players in our team that had been together since they were eight..be nice if this was our golden generation, especially as our u18s are so good as well.

Ties that bind too. If we keep hold of some of them, it'll mean the others are more likely to stay, rather than having their heads turned by a "big" team. Remember how Man U's golden generation all came through together. If we can keep these lads together, they'll have an almost telepathic understanding, having played and trained with each other for so long.

Mentioned on another thread I know. Rowe's just signed a professional contract with Saints along with fellow U21 graduate Will Britt.
He's had an impressive season with the U21's and certainly looks the part. Loads of potential, could go a long way.
Hands off Wenger!

He's one that I really hope gets an opportunity from what I've seen of him, which admittedly is only from about 5 viewings, but he looks to have that ability to hit the byline with pace and whip dangerous crosses in which we dearly lack, which is a great waste considering the goalscorer we have in Rickie. If we had of crossed better last season he would have broken 20 goals, I'm sure of it, as it was our delivery just got worse and worse as the season went on.
