On its own though the 1904 just looks ridiculous. If you don't know the club's history it means nothing. Outsiders will look at that badge and think the club's called 1904. I'm pleased they've retained our tiger but to not include our name is petty and counter-productive. Who realistically is going to buy merchandise with no name just a tigers head and the year 1904 on it? Pointless and stupid.
Seeing as our nickname is The Tigers which animal's head would you expect to see? and which club's name and nickname do you think would be on it? Criticism of our badge is a bit rich coming from someone who supports a club which has had more badges than virtually any club. most of the utter c**p. Funniest was having an owl, the nickname of Yorkshire's biggest and most successful domestically club. now you have a badge stating you are LUFC when you are one of the few clubs who are AFC.
Fight for your identity and history lads. These kind of owners must be stopped from eroding our identities.
I think I've posted my design before - emphasising our nickname without eradicating our traditional and historical playing name: please log in to view this image
