I don't understand this 'jumping to the gun' conclusion about why he did, and the way that he did, what he did last night (loads of 'did's !) when we've got absolutely no idea about the reasons From the little that we know about Sam, he's not the kind of person to just '**** off without a word' and I believe that we've (generically) got this wrong . . . . and I know that it might just be me that's got it wrong I will certainly not 'hang him without a trial' 'cos that's grossly unfair to him, when I believe that we don't know the circumstances He might be a little tinker, but I don't think so
Sam has not gone yet. He is at our training ground this morning. He has been recommended as the best candidate for the job but the FA board have NOT agreed that he is the new England manger (yet) This is still to be confirmed - today. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-fas-choice-as-england-manager-says-greg-dyke
They have to have their. Starter. Lobster bisque or Ceasar salad. Main course. Porterhouse steak with a wild mushroom sauce, mash potatoes or french fries with an assortment of seasonal veg. Or. English venison with a hollandaise sauce. Fritter potatoes and a finely chopped betroot salad. Desert. Tiramasu or Jam roly poly and custard. Assorted cheese and biscuits will follow along with Remy XO. A vegetarian option is also available upon request. ............ They cant do these things on an empty stomach.
I expect its full silver service aswell. Cant see it being a eat all you can buffet. Although Sam may ask for seconds. And a clean napkin.
I wouldn't go as far to say I am sad but I am genuinely disappointed that Sam is going, probably more than any other previous manager I have known. The potential this season was good, especially with seeing who he would be signing. He was manager for my sons first live Sunderland games (Man Utd 2-1 and Chelsea 3-2) and those memories I hope I will not lose. I bear no grudges (only towards Woy and the FA) and hope he does well for England.
Looking like a bit of a stalemate going on at the moment. FA will only offer 2m Compo and we've flat bang refused it. This inconvenience is worth way more than two million. Good on the club for not being completely walked all over.
I'm with you mate, not writing him off. There were some flashes end of the season, bar finishing.. Also, played his best football under Moyes.
i hope this compen stuff gets sorted out quickly, the longer the whole saga carries on for the more damage it will do to us and the less time we will have for our new manager to prepare for the upcoming season. On the other hand though i fully agree though that we should hold out for as much as we can get from the Fucking Arseholes at the FA, just a balancing act to which is more important.
Moyes will pass his targets on don't worry, Bain will be working on deals. This could go to a tribunal mate.
I am quite looking forward to the season, we know what is happening and hopefully know who our next manager is, so with this in mind we should now be able to operate in the transfer market with potential signings knowing who is going to manage them. If this compensation is to go to a tribunal, who will be in charge? I hope it wouldn't be the FA?
Credit the club for asking for fair compo, bu let's crack kn and not dig in too far and cause further disruption. Team preparation is paramount now.
Once we decide to take it to a tribunal Sam will complete his Job move and the compo will be sorted down the line. He could still become England manager without compo being agreed.
