If the ref thought, even for just a split second, that was a yellow then he's more incompetent then I already thought he was. Makes no difference, ref or lino, the red was the right call.
He definitely did go to the pocket with the yellow, paused and went red. Red was completely the right call so no arguments from me but I think he probably is more incompetent that you already thought! There was also a time when it appeared the ref wasn't going to Yellow a stoke player until our players told him to. And finally, it looked like he didn't give the ball over the line for the Stoke goal (which is clearly was) until the linesman told him - apparently the watch wasn't working or something. Surely he should've seen that and had the guts to call it.
It was diabolical officiating all round, however we still should have defended their goal better than we did, personally I think we lost concentration over the ****ty throw in decision, and that's what cost us......but we're still unbeaten and we'll finish higher than Stoke so I'm happy.
The only thing I would say is that starting with Chezzy sending off, didn't give the right balance to the highlights, as for 15 minutes we were in control, whereas when we did go down to 10 men then Stoke had the large share of the possession.
Its the same thing..week in..week out patronised by the media..Officials etc......I tried to get on 606 last night to complain about the refs all they had on were upset Man Utd fans...none of whom spoke with a Manchester accent....Turning the radio on to listen to 606 or Jokesport is a total waste of the battery..
The BBC has shown the world how strong our defence is. I suspect a fair number of managers and players will be wondering what to do if they go one-nil down against us.
it was just to fit the narrative of backs to the wall ten man Hull City . till the subs we were comfortable , and Stoke were hopeless . I don't think the Edits altered that -
I was listening to it also, there was some joker came on saying " but we are Man United" we don't accept that we are not challenging for the top every season, as if they have some God given right to be there.
Looking forward to seeing more of Robertson as a wing back. Should we ever revert to a flat four at the back id like to see him in a left midfield role but appreciate there is a degree of competition for that position if everyone is fit.
Will remember this next time some so called reporter or pundit publishes an article that puts us down and slags us off.
