Modric isn't the guarantee to finish 4th and frankly I think he needs to move on. It has been great having him at Spurs but it's time to move on - there are better options who would WANT to be in the team v Newcastle. Welcome back, by the way.
Luke, I find myself agreeing with DL, I cannot see Levy giving him to a PL side...least of all United along with Arsenal, just to stop the history of you taking our best players. This limits his options abroad, if Real don't come up with exactly what Levy wants, he will remind Modric as he did last year he has 4yrs (5 last year before some pedant pulls me up!) left to run! Levy hasn't reneged on what he said, he is compliant atm with Modric's wish to leave...for the right offer...no right offer, tough tatties, you stay. No one wants you at your market value, put that in yer pipe and smoke it....or words to that effect!
Wait a sec, why was a mod banned from another board? Surely quite a key part of being a mod is setting an example and not winding people up and so forth?
He wasn't a mod when he was banned. It's not really something worth going back into though. He's, back lets all move on
It's hard to believe that such a seemingly intelligent man indulges in this self delusion. It will all blow up in his face, just as it did with Fabregas and Nasri.
I wasn't happy at Harry's sacking, whether he took the spine of the team from Jol or not, fact is, it was under Harry whom we played some awesome football. That being said, if rumours were true (which I must admit, I really can believe) in regards to Harry rejecting a new 3 year deal at the time Capello had resigned from England and then demanding a new contract once Hodgson was named boss, I can understand Levy's reasoning to get rid as clearly we were only second best to Harry and Levy wants someone fully committed to the club and make no mistake, our worst football and poor spell coincided with the Harry to England speculation.
Probably read the OP's post wrong so clearly just waffling . Bad day at work. Plus it's Monday. Leave me be.
No actually you read the OP right. The thread had gone so far off topic I had forgotten what it was about. Carry on I stand corrected.
I will get the thread back on topic.....DL is admitting his wummery...now he has been given a role that involves responsibilty on the Chelsea board....his views have a sense of maturity....or maybe that obsession he had with Spurs has moved onto another level and he has managed to get onto the Spurs board eventually
To be fair, I never used to find DL's wummery offensive. And, very occasionally, he used to make me chuckle.
To be honest a bit like HIAG I never really was obsessed with you or at least I didn't mean to be but I suppose it's Self Fulfilling Prophecy. When PNP contacted me I realised I had overstepped the mark and upset posters too much which caused disruption. I would say with the exception of the United board, all boards here are capable of worthwile debate
I suppose it is a matter of opinion hiag that you chuckle at Chelsea wummery yet snap back at all things Liverpool. What Liverpool is to one, is Chelsea to another I'd hate to think this site is all cliquey.....fair is fair and i honestly don't know how you can like one over the other in terms of rivalry or each team having their fair share of idiots giving it large.
I don't think I snap back at Mousers. I rebuff them, when necessary. I find them all far too comical to be upset by them. I study their delusions with a cold dispassion, but find their Mouser-ways extremely entertaining. I suppose it's a bit like the behavioural psychologist who is very clinical in his counting how many times his lab rats can solve the maze to find the food, yet still finds time to chuckle at their playful antics. As nasty as the Chelsea boys have sometimes been towards me, they have never reached the lofty heights of delusion displayed endlessly by the average Mouser. Even now, most of them believe that Brendan Rodgers is a home-grown Guardiola and is going to take them to the EPL title next season. If it had been printed in Roy of The Rovers, readers would have rejected it as a comic dream too far.
