I haven't been much for a host of reasons, but I'm not what I would describe as boycotting. We need to learn the lessons of the past, and the first step is to recognise where mistakes were made.

I don't agree with them, but I know some that just said '**** 'em, they didn't help us' when they heard of the upper west evictions, and people unhappy about the **** atmosphere due to splitting fans up.

so, let's get this straight. what you're saying is

    1. if people go to the games and protest, it's disgusting.
    2. if HUGELY PISSED OFF people don't got to games in protest, they're not true fans and have no right to complain.
    3. how do you suggest people protest about the idiotic antics of the owners if they can't do it by being at the match and can't do it by not being at the match?
    4. if the numbers at wembley are 25,000 instead of 39,000 it's not a problem because of the millions of extra working people who can now afford to go due to the £10 a year drop the new membership scheme saves them.
    5. the allams have more rights to irritate and cheat and drive out supporters who've been going 50 or 60 years than those fans have to complain about being badly treated.
    6. if anyone on here dares to try to argue with someone such as you who has their head buried in the sand, they're being bullies.
    7. nobody has the right to complain about the owners even if they've been going to city games all their lives.

i can see flaws in your stance.

Deal with what? I don't have a problem with the club or owners, you deal with it

You never mentioned a particular game. I did. Then you referred to the wrong one. Maybe you weren't there.

And I was debating it. Debate doesn't mean agreeing with the original statement. Look it up.

no problem at all? amazing. totally ostrich-like.

funnily enough, lots of supporters had no problem with the owners and condemned those protesting about the name change.

and then many fell victim to the no-concessions policy, found which side their bread was buttered, and mysteriously switched sides.

i'm sick of quoting and adding links to the "and then they came for me, and there was nobody left to speak up for me" poem, but i'm sure you know the one.

give us a shout when they come for you and there is nobody left to speak up for you.

Re point 6, I'm okay with arguing, debating, disagreeing, but aren't you the one that called me a self righteous bast***? I was abused for refusing to take a red card, I call that intimidation and bullying, a bit like your posts.

Re point 7, I've not said that anywhere in my posts, in fact I'm arguing the right to have opposing views, because I've been going to City for 50 years.

I don't have an issue with anti Allams just demonstrating against them in the middle of crucial games

The protests were very well managed and had absolutely no effect on the team.

In fact, if anything, we played better in the games with the biggest protests.

There are a fair few could do to ponder that poem, or whatever it's described as.

    re point 6:
you called people "not true fans" and said their actions were disgusting.

is calling you selfish bullying? or calling you self-righteous? or is it calling you a bastard? or all of them?

i didn't abuse you for not taking a card, but i'll certainly abuse you for trying to make out that other people are wrong to protest.

re point 7: "7. nobody has the right to complain about the owners even if they've been going to city games all their lives."
you claim you've not said this.

    you did say

"I don't agree with a lot of what the Allams do or the way they do it, but I believe they have more of a right than so called fans who don't even support the team because they have issues with the owner."

    and you also said

"but all people do is moan."

    what's the difference?

The first match after the protest was suspended. Says it all really. For the first half the team must have been wondering where the red cards where.

You need to go back and read my original post, where I made reference to the demonstrations in the play off semi final, which we lost0-2!

There were no demonstrations. There was one when we won 3-0

indeed, i have no intention of ever speaking for you, but seeing as you seem to have utterly missed the point of the post, i'll dig out that link yet again and perhaps you'll understand it.

here you are, see if you can get your head round the meaning in this one
