"The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support," read a short club statement. "We believe we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it." Is this a way of saying "no more money"?
Usually when a Club gives the manager their "full support", they call him a cab very soon after. Hope that's not the case here, but something has caused Jose to lose his rag and his focus lately. For the sake of the Club, the players, the manager, and us us well, please , you're all grown ups, sit down calmly and make a genuine effort to get things back on track.
Unfortunately it looks like he's off then, the old 'full support' statement from a club is always a tell tale sign.
It gets tactical at this stage. Board: What's the problem? Jose: I need more players Board: We've spent a lot and you're a great manager Jose: I still need more players, without them we will struggle Board: If you're saying you can't cope without more investment then maybe you should resign Jose: I'm not resigning, if you want me to go then you will have to sack me and pay me off Board: OK, we're going to issue a statement saying that we believe in you and that the squad is fine. Over to you Jose: You are all sons of bitches, except for you, you are a daughter of a whore
Have to agree with this tbh. However Jose may have a point (after the massive investment from the Mancs) that we realistically were not going to win the title this year but we still spent more than Arsenal.... This squad is more than good enough to get a C.L place in theory and he has to get on with it. Also not the club's fault that Everton didn't want to sell Stones or that Pogda would have cost a fortune.
Interesting times at Chelsea. I still think there's a whole season to play for and that this has got out of hand.
He is battling with everyone. Referees, own medical staff, Wenger, own players, Press. Shouldn't he keep his head down and focus on getting the team back on track?
