Fergie never took a title winning team to such depths. Jose is a great manager but he will always be in Fergie's shadow.
The depths of shambles. The team is a mess and the backroom staff are unhappy. Wouldn't and didn't happen under Fergie, which is why he lasted so long at United. Jose simply can't do sustained success and stability.
He ****ed up when he got rid of the Doc. They were obviously all having regular bukake sessions on her and it's ruined moral now they're missing out on it.
I posted a day after it happened that Eva's demotion had adversely affected the team and other staff. I sing but don't really believe we are the greatest team the world has ever seen. The Prem is full of class players and managers. All know what they are doing, no one tactic or formation is all conquering. A few years back, on old 606 I wrote a long piece about how the difference between success and mediocrity is organisation and man management. It is still true. Yes Chelsea have more quality players than most, but not all other teams, so we ease through injury problems, but everyone in that squad has to feel important as the next. They all say so to the media when asked, but do you think they actually believe it themselves? Yes Jose has lost the dressing room and yes it is bad enough to change a winning team into a poor one. As for Jose his, behaviour seems typical of someone feeling the pressure of his mistake and incresing isolation. His pride is wounded and he doesn't seem to understand why. He compounded his poor judgement and confirmed his isolation by reaffirming his stance after many had told him (gently, maybe too gently) to reconsider and volte-face. He still can if he is as smart as he thinks he is.
He did leave your squad in a mess though which ruined the next managers tenure and meant you've had to spend the GNP of a small country to try and recover. Plus he let Pogba go for nowt. So Fergie was great but also made mistakes.
I have only read one poster asking for Jose to go. Many others are (rightly) suggesting he pull his finger out , stop the weirdness, the agro, the whingeing, and get on with the job. Like others I think Joses' attitude and behaviour is behind our form slump. Everyone wants him to cut the crap and get on with what he does best.
Yep to all that. To anyone that wants Jose out, be careful what you wish for. He deserves a chance to turn things around.
Don't think Fergie ever had such a bad start to the season, certainly from say 93 onwards once he had rebuilt the side from 86/7. On the flip side, I don't think Jose will end the season 18 points off the top with no trophies and an early CL exit, like Fergie 2004/5. If he did have that sort of season I doubt he would be around for a group stage CL exit and title challenge ceded at Xmas (United 05/6), that's for sure. Jose would certainly not last after three seasons of failure (Fergie finished 15 points off top 2003/4 and suffered another early CL exit), he is too abrasive. Jose rebuilds a lot quicker than Fergie, so of course things will fall apart quicker too. And Jose is too gobby etc to ever be in anyone's shadow. In fact it was incredible how quickly the press dumped Fergie for Jose as soon as he arrived in 2004. Quite disrespectful to such a legend, I thought
<thumbsup> And I'm pleased your thoughts remained focused on me, Jose and Chelsea, before, during and after the 'biggest match in club football'. Well, the biggest game in your season, anyway
A lot of Chelsea fans on social media seem to echo the chavs on this thread. Many feel it was a mistake to sack Ranieri who is more likely to challenge in the Prem and in Europe by the looks of it. At least he could do it on the cheap which would keep you kings of FFP.
