Morning Sparkey. I hope all is fine and dandy on the Porthcawl Riviera. A lovely sunny if cold start to the morning in Cheshire. My first reaction was that the timing was odd. As you say, 8 weeks, take the plaudits or leave with 'I've done what I could but it wasn't enough'. A winner either way. I hope that if we do go up, he comes back for the party.
From Twitter. Steve borley‏@SteveCMB I have spoken to TG this morning. He wishes to pass on his gratitude for hundreds of messages received and conveys best wishes to all fans He is hoping to go into politics and elections are next month so felt this was best time to step down but will not cut all links. He will come over before end of season and I hope he gets respect he deserves. He asks everyone to rally behind Malky and the team I for one will miss him and thank him for massive contribution he has made and bravery shown to take this club on when it was on the brink He is truly an honourable man and wish him well in his future political career.
(Swans fan in peace, really!) I haven't followed the situation with your board too closely, but TG leaving sounds serious. Was he the chairman? Does that mean VT will now become chairman or have I misunderstood his role. I don't get the talk about Portsmouth if VT is you're chairman. (With FA rules, etc.) Was TG the guy with the money or is it VT? If it was TG, what does that mean with regards to funding/paying off debts?
TG was the first to invest ableit in a small way. He then involved his mate, the big money man, namely Tan, He's the guy with £100M in.
Well all I want to know, is will I be welcoming that old bat from Porthcawl, to the top table next season!...................... PS: Thought that TG was a really decent bloke, not sure the big money geezer is cut from the same mold though!...............
Damn, was hoping the Portsmouth bid was serious. You could've amalgamated and been called Carport. Gutted
