You have a lot to answer for Casual. This thread has caused a rift between Sir Cheshire Ben and myself I don't think can ever really heal and now you've forced me to post this from the first album I ever owned. Is this how you repay me?

Watched the Billy Fury one again. My first pop idol. Funny to look back and think how much parents didn't like him.
Remember as a 12 year old getting home to be met by a rather irate mother. She had been upstairs on a bus in the bus station waiting for it to go when she heard some women tutting and saying what are parents thinking of letting young kids go around like that . The object of this disgust was a 12 year old with a greasy quiff, skin tight jeans and winkle pickers with a suede jacket on, hands rammed in pockets, slouching along with with collar turned up, cigarette dangling from his lips deludedly thinking he looked like Billy Fury. Which was me. Next time I went to put that jacket on she had stitched the pockets up.
