He must be surrounded by yes men who don't have the cojones to tell him the truth. Maybe Beard did and that's why he's gone?
Tony has muck on his face He always looks to me that he has just removed his goggles after sweeping out his chimney
hence I chose the phrase "might have", rather than definitely. Bottom line is we won. I suppose the other end of the scale regarding chairmen is Lerner at Villa, who, by all accounts is never at games, and distances himself from the club and fans. I know who I'd rather have, tweets and all!
exactly. who cares about a few tweets. you obviously care, you've sunk millions of quid into the club, tweet what you like Tony as far as I'm concerned.
Although i do agree with some of your points you are changing the direction by comparing Lerner to Tony when we are only discussing Tony's Tweets? I am actually a TF fan and i know he has the club in his heart but i just wish he would think before he Tweets.
I think we've done just that with this guy from Brighton coming in. (see my comment on the relevant thread.)
I liked them when they first went up, but it all went pear shaped when Brendan Rogers left. Turned into a bit of a joke club now. Has it occurred to the owners that they're just not very good? Be worth them going down, just for Leroy Fer to have 3 relegated clubs on his CV.
Agree, thought this message on BBC summed them up perfectly. It's not only us who manage to **** up a good thing. " Swansea have gone from a family club who promoted from within, keeping the ethos of the club and style of play, to a laughing stock. They promoted Garry Monk, which was the absolute right thing to do. Sacked him because the lost a couple of games, then they start hiring any bloke that had managed anywhere that was unheard of and could “maybe do a good job." The board have panicked every time and come across as a small time bunch of amateurs. They will now get Tony Pulis and completely throw away their identity and ultimately get relegated. That’s how not to do it! Mark, Glastonbury"
Not at all surprised by this. Perhaps he can find another galactico manager to take him on again as an assistant. Bullet well and truly dodged there.
I watched the Everton v Swansea game on Monday night and kept an eye on Fer. He took his goal well but other than that he's a one paced cart horse. I still can't believe they bought him from us, especially after seeing what he was like as a loan player beforehand. Thank you Swans.
And he's been a regular in the Dutch team, no wonder they've become also-rans. Let's hope TF doesn't think Clement will still be our 'Dream Manager'...
I had that game on but was doing a lot of different things, saw the goals and not a lot more. But for some different perspective, when Fer scored the Commentator said it was deserved and sat right as he'd been Swansea'a best player up to that point. It would be good to have a goal scoring midfielder in our team, hopefully one of ours does some quick developing!
Not a poor return...He has the most assists in the division, Freemans is doing more than OK. I do think we need a good scoring forward.....I am really perturbed by the number of chances Conor does not convert. Smith and Sylla are no where near as profligate as Washington. At one point Sylla was leading the goals/minute played....and Smith who cannot seem to last the 90 minutes does make himself a real nuisance as an impact sub But Washington harrys well, commits well...but has a very poor scoring/conversion record, it is really sad. Mackie/Washington...are they the same person
Not even close. This man has relegated 5 times with 5 clubs from premier league https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_Hreiðarsson
Fair enough, I thought there would be plenty who had been relegated as much and in some cases more, just quite special to do so at different clubs
