Agree entirely that the training facility is key to long term goals etc...but this isn't a permission. Just a resubmission of plans. Have we heard that the revised plans have the council's blessing? Perhaps I'm missing something...

Maybe it's me reading to much between the lines and speculating that we have this under wrap. But judging by the picture it has been toned down markedly to blend in with the environment and it doesn't stand out like a big white object in the middle of a large green area. Now there are grass on roofs and the use of wooden walls makes it look much more in place.

They know all the obstacles and objections from last time and I'm confident they've countered it so that it gets passed.

" The community will benefit from a new community pavilion providing changing facilities and a new multi-purpose social space.

As well as grass pitches, the facility will also have a 3G pitch, an indoor 3G pitch and cricket squares.

As part of the community sports plans, QPR and QPR in the Community Trust will work with Ealing Council on building links with local clubs, schools and community groups to offer a wide range of sport and health programmes."

It looks to me like it would be very hard argue against this.

Hope you're right. We could do with some good news and it would be encouraging to get a project under our belt.

I’ve defended TF a lot, his comments about not having debt just shareholder loans on twitter yesterday are part of this but then he does stuff like this just make’s you wonder why. TF has taken us for mugs today

We already have planning permission for a site and know how difficult and delayed that was to get. Now we have submitted plans on a smaller scale and so while still great I would assume a smaller benefit to the community then originally agreed.

Also, (now this might sound weird, as I heard the story a few weeks back and I didn’t really understand it at the time but would point to my previous track record with inside info on the training ground), plans this time around involve raising the ground level upwards. I cant remember the figure for how much but considering the scale this will be done over what is guaranteed is that this will mean hundreds possibly thousands worth of lorry loads of muck (from latest Westfield White City development so I hear).

TF how do you think that will go down with the dog poo brigade???? People like that often dont object because they think they'll win often its old people who just want to delay it long enough to restrict it's impact on them before they keel over or because they've got nothing better to do and even a delay is in their eyes a small victory

Better have something else up his sleeve

Is that it? We've downgraded the plans, already granted permission, for the new training ground? Or have I missed something? Come on Tone. Do explain yourself.

Well that was underwhelming.

Let's hope it's better than Blackpool FC's "Centre of Excellance" (sic).
