Photograph: Stephen Pond/PA Wire/Press Association Images QPR’s chairman, Tony Fernandes, has told fans not to despair about the club’s league position and insists those in charge at Loftus Road care about the future of the club. Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Liverpool leaves QPR seven points from a Premier League safe spot with just three games remaining and the west London side now look likefalling out of the division for the second time in three years. Chris Ramsey’s side could be relegated against Manchester City on Saturday and face an uncertain financial future as the club are set to be hit with a fine for falling foul of the Football League’s financial fair play rules. But Fernandes, who has often used social media to air his views since taking over at QPR, tweeted on Monday that fans should not worry about the future of the club. “QPR Fans. Don’t despair. Lots to look forward to. You have shareholders who care. Not perfect. Made mistakes. But we care,” he wrote. “We have learnt a lot about players, managers, agents. Onwards and upwards. 3 out of 4 seasons in the Premier League. “It’s not over till it’s over. Got three games left. Need to play for all the game. Not just 85 mins and who knows. See you at City. That’s it for the moment. Stay positive. Hard but that’s all we got. You he [sic] shareholders who are decent and care.” Fernandes also hit out at the media and claimed fans will be pleased by news set to be released on Tuesday. “There is little debt by the way. All shareholders loan. Debt is related to new stadium. Tired of journalists making stuff up,” he added. “We have good people in the club now. Will be choosing a new CEO in the next few weeks. While the table may not look future still good [sic].”
Building at Warren farm starts in June, we've been given the Old Oak contract, CR has got the job full time and Phillips and Austin have both signed new 5 year deals. Or is that too much to hope for?
TF is pregnant. Scans show it will be a boy. Tony has already decided the baby will be called Rodney Stanley Dave Thomas Fernandes. Something for the fans to be excited about.
If this is the only news of the day, I will ... well I don't know what I'll do, but you know what I mean?
Please tell me this is just a teaser for some big news? Agree the training ground is important for future but the fans are low, we are about to get relegated, maybe a FFP fine, the loss of 1 or 2 good players that we want to keep and TF said us fans would be pleased with the news.... well?
It has to be more than putting in revised plans for the training grounds, surely... Yet after the debacle of finding the "dream manager" I'm beginning to think may be it is
QPR director of football Les Ferdinand said: "This is a vitally important project for the club and one in which I will have a hands on role. We are working closely with Populous and Ealing Council to ensure QPR has a state-of-the-art facility that brings the First Team, Academy and Community together in a unique hub. QPR has always been a club that takes pride in its local community and we will ensure that bond is strengthened with this exciting move to Warren Farm. – DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL LES FERDINAND I think it is excellent news that we're making progress with Warren Farm. It's an important step in the right direction. Our club will never move forward without the right foundations. The day to day operations and training coming together in top facilites in our own back yard is vital to achieve our long term goals.

Agree entirely that the training facility is key to long term goals etc...but this isn't a permission. Just a resubmission of plans. Have we heard that the revised plans have the council's blessing? Perhaps I'm missing something...
