There is an element of TF covering his back in his statement, in case it all goes pear shaped. But it's also a call to arms for the manager and team. They've got to knuckle down and achieve
You can't have a recall clause when the other team pays a loan fee. It would have cost us £2m to be able to do that.
I think its clear he's unsatisfied but he's the one who picked the last two appalling managers despite passing world class wages. His next manager will be the most important decision of his time here or the fans could turn on him.
Choosing a new manager is critical, of course. But my sense is that the fans are a long way from turning on Tony Fernandes
I have never been sure about how I feel about Tony. The fact is, he's the man at the top. He hires the manager and says yes or no to his requests. How can he say his hands are clean?
That's better. A bit of humour. We can all read into this what we want - that's the nature of tweets. They're superficial and ambiguous. As most already have ventured an opinion as to the hidden meaning, I do too. Tony has been pretty silent recently and has anyone noticed whether Amit is even alive still? The latter is explicable because the Mittals are playing the long game and/or Tony doesn't want their input into his project - just their money. The timing of this pronouncement is therefore interesting as much as what he says. Precisely because he has not said it before. He, not commentators, has driven the wedge between "you" (Harry and the players) and "us" the owners. "We've done our bit and given you 100% support. Don't **** it up now." Clearly he does not lay the blame solely at Harry's door and even the most anti-Redkapp fan on here would agree with that. So why now? Is this the equivalent of the dreaded vote of confidence in the tweeting world? Is there some hidden etiquette that those of us who can't be bothered are unaware of? Nobody, well at least no sensible person, is seriously advocating giving Harry his P45 now. We all owe him and the club our support until it is all over. I doubt whether we, Tony or Harry himself will want to stay once it is all over but to me, the warning has been given. Sort it out.
In hindsight, as we know, Hughes was a disaster. But I'd say the decision my TF to bring him in at the time was not unreasonable. We stayed up by the skin of our teeth. I don't see how Hughes's cock-ups in our second Prem season can be laid at TF's door. HR came in when we were in freefall. We're 4th in the table, but have suffered a dip in form after the two best players Harry brought in, Austin and Phillips, are long term injured I just think we have to be careful what we wish for. Look at Reading. Up for sale, and not a buyer in sight
I'm a bit superficial and ambiguous, so I love this tweet. Pull your fingers out lads and glory awaits. The alternative is rum, sodomy and the lash. Without the rum. Toneeeeeeeee !!!!!
Supposing you were TF and saw promotion this season as being vital. If you had lost confidence in HR getting us promoted, wouldn't now be the time to make a change?
He's done it twice now. Warnock out Hughes in within days then Hughes out, Redknapp in within days. Both moves proved to be disastrous. I agree he moves quickly once he's made his mind up but surely he has learned his lesson. The window has closed so a new manager would have to work with this squad and they are Harry's team. We might have a new manager bounce but that is unlikely this late on in the season. If I had lost confidence, I would think it too late now to turn it around with a new man at the helm and would be shuddering at the cost of bringing him in. I would be looking for the replacement to come in as soon as legally possible after we knew that we would not go up
Did he honestly come out with that on twitter.!???? If so that sums up everything that is wrong with your club. It's a circus down there. Why on earth say that on a public forum. It's basically saying to dead knapp your on your own,, like twitchy needs any more stress. Dear me when will these muppet owners like yours ever learn.
Is there any chance that you could **** off with your opinions and concentrate on celebrating winning the league on your own board? Thanks.
I know some people who live in Wellingborough, they hate Leicester and their fans and I was always asking why, they don't seem that bad etc I now understand.
Hes another dinosaur who plays hoof ball and spent a fortune on Carroll, he also spunked £5m on maiga, five ****ing million! Would you trust him with your money after being ripped off by fellow dinosaurs hughes and redknapp?
Killy, your efforts are futile. You can run after him all year long but he won't tell you one Manager that he'd like to see replace Redknapp. He's a total chancer
