He's going on a pub crawl around the ground to see what the fans think. He re-iterated that he was building for the future and putting solid foundations in place so even if we are relegated we will come back stronger. Very positive and upbeat, so Cerny's recent ITK that he was selling up seems odd to say the least...
He has given me no reason to doubt him so far, makes this good news imo. Funny enough I think a relegation will give them more time to work on their project and get better foundations in place before a quick return to the prem. Not that it will be necessary though
He did come across really well and seemed more focused on the mid term that he can actively influence than what's happening on the pitch (although he still seems passionate about that). Definitely not signalling any plans to leave (I'd guess he'd be more elusive and stay away from the media if that was the case).
Mark Hughes sees Fernandes as a huge part of that brighter future and feels the owner deserves nothing but praise for his role in trying to improve things. He added: "Everyone knows that Tony has the best interests of the club at heart. He's doing all he can to bring in the right people to ensure the club has a bright future. "I don't see how anyone can really criticise him for wanting to do that. They should shake his hand because he is trying to do the best for the club."
Some of the things TF on sky talked about was... Putting in the building blocks to give us a firm foundation for the future. This involves getting an academy up and running, youth system, training and medical facilities. He said that he wants to see players coming through the system...that have QPR running through them, and that we can't keep on buying expensive players. About Twitter....he said he believes in free speech and enjoys talking to the fans. He can't get to speak to 19000 fans personally so twitter is one way he can talk to fans who have been supporters for years and have something to say. He also said he answers a lot of them, not only the positive ones but ones that are giving him abuse. Neil Warnock....He said he wouldn't go into it deeply but it was a very tough decision that had to made before the transfer window started and he believed that Mark Hughes was the right choice to guide us for the next 5 years. On QPR in general....he's enjoying everything about being here, apart from the results which haven't gone our way. The luck isn't going our way and we would have been better off in the league if we had finished games with 11 players. If the worst was to happen and we got relegated all the building blocks he talked about would still carry on as he believes in getting us in a stable position for the futeure. He talked about his other businesses with the Airline and formula 1 and how he started those from very little. I'm sure there was more as I'm doing this from memory but Jeff Stelling and the panel were hugely impressed with him and his honesty about his plans. He came across excellently and for me just underlines my belief that he's the right man for us.
