Stranger things have happened... Rodney was a well regarded top draw Fulham starlet when he agreed terms with third division Rangers. Proved to be rocket fuel from the outset.

Never say never say never say never say never say never...

C'mon you rose tints - where are ya? Don't let the links of AAAAAGH and me upstage you in the dreams dept!!

I just spat my drink all over the table when I read that article. And the difference between me saying that and the article is that I'm not joking.

What a load of absolute nonsense <doh>

Lol.

Mark Hughes first act as new QPR manager will be to try and convince Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez join him in west-London.

The sensational deal could cost financially bulky QPR over £25m.

Hughes is rumoured to be unveiled later this week as the new QPR manager following chairman Tony Fernandes’ decision to sack Neil Warnock.

One of the key reasons behind the dismissal was Warnock’s failure to attract or identify the required players needed, which according to Fernandes would keep QPR in the division. The Air Asia owner and his wealthy board members are planning to give their new man a reported £30m transfer chest in order to save the club from dropping straight back into the Championship. And Hughes is allegedly confident of securing the services of the disgraced Manchester City star, who famously refused to play for the club against Bayern Munich earlier this season.

Tevez has been rather open regarding his unhappiness at the club ever since he handed the club a written transfer request last season, which was rejected. He has allegedly been fined over £1.4m in the last year and hasn’t featured for the clubs since that incredible incident in Munich.

Him and Hughes, who formed a strong working relationship at Manchester City when Hughes was manager, have kept in contact over the past year and have the same advisor in Kia Joorabchian, who is also a business associate of Fernandes. The four men have already spoke regarding a potential move for the player that is likely to cost QPR £25m in transfer fees and over £10m in wages per season. Whether or not the player will be keen to join a club at the wrong end of the table is another matter, but Fernandes is apparently not afraid of splashing the cash on a player whose ability alone should guarantee Premier League survival.

I had a very similar episode when I was in Cancun.
There was I, chatting to this Scots fella and he was telling me about a bus journey he just had.
He said the driver was going like a lunatic, which was unbelievable as the bus was full of scorpians.

'No way,' I said increduously, 'did you stamp the ****ers to death?'

It was only in the strange way that he looked at me that we later ascertained that he said 'school bairns.'

How we chuckled after.

Would I want him at the club? If he could get settled in London, then maybe. Would I want him to eat 25mil of a transfer kitty for this transfer window? Oh **** no. Not when we need a quality centre back, a full back to act as cover, a replacement for Ali, a replacement for Adel, a decent left winger and someone to play along side Tevez.

That said, Hughes coming might make a move for Onhoua more likely, and possibly a loan move for Adam Johnson.
