John Terry finds out his verdict today at 2pm. Have a good feeling he is going to be found not guilty. Good luck JT.

IF TERRY IS FOUND GUILTY
CHELSEA
Given that chairman Bruce Buck spoke about Terry in glowing terms in the witness stand, it appears unlikely the club will take any action.
Buck clearly accepts Terry’s version of events, which is why he agreed to appear as a defence witness. Having said that, they will have to check with the US Embassy whether Terry can be granted a visa for access to the country for their pre-season tour starting next week.
ENGLAND
Representing England is an honour, a privilege and the players are considered ambassadors when they travel with the team. If Terry is found guilty, he cannot possibly be considered for England again.
THE FA
HE is likely to be charged by the FA, who have held off until the criminal court case is concluded. The FA released a 115-page document explaining the judgement after Luis Suarez was banned for eight games for racially abusing Patrice Evra. Expect more of the same when Terry’s case is heard.

IF TERRY IS FOUND NOT GUILTY
CHELSEA
HE will be welcomed back into the fold, told to forget about the days that threatened his professional reputation, and told to pack for this weekend’s tour of America.
ENGLAND
Given he was stripped of the captaincy because of the criminal proceedings, he could make a case for being restored as captain. Roy Hodgson insists Steven Gerrard is his skipper for 2014 World Cup qualifiers, but in the eyes of the law, Terry would be an innocent man.
THE FA
The FA will re-examine their position and decide whether to act in light of the court verdict.

LOL what a crock of ****!!
Why are we even giving this any attention at all!?

Well it's always funny to watch the Liverpool fans get themselves wound up.

A bit of a null verdict in the end, it's a shame we'll never know who was telling the truth but provided that the Chelsea fans don't go on to give more abuse to Anton when he's been described as a credible witness and done nothing wrong, just as Terry has done nothing wrong.

Can you blame us?

Just as much evidence there to suggest that he said something than there was for Suarez. And if he didn't say it then why won't they show us the video of him saying it without blurring it out?

You totally miss the point, he admitted to using those words so of course it would still be blurred out. His defence was that he was not calling Anton Ferdinand by that and was repeating it because he thought Anton was saying that was what he'd already said. There was no evidence other than Anton's to suggest he wasn't telling the truth, meanwhile Suarez's evidence was undermined and flat out contradicted by video and player evidence where only Kuyt seemed to offer anything that remotely agreed with his evidence, surprise, surprise. Then there's the fact that the criminal court requires a far higher certainty of proof whereas the FA's more likenable to the civil courts balance of probability to prove guilt.

It's natural reaction. Liverpool fans did the same with Evra.

Football is too tribal for any to have rationale. It's a religion not a sport

D'you really think that though? The majority last season seemed to think that Anton was the accuser or something e.g calling him a liar etc <doh>

I know that when I stand in the away end at SB next year Anton will be booed every time he touches the ball, it's up to us to drown them out with actual chanting <ok>

Liverpool fans were rightly criticised for it. Honestly, you're not setting a very high bar of morality with the "... but Liverpool fans did it" rule.

There's a big difference between what the majority think and what's actually backed by evidence.

Do I think Chelsea fans will show some sense? They should and Chelsea should be seeking to prevent any further abuse of Anton not least because it's to the detriment of the club.

I'm sure many will but there are a large amount of sheep who will boo without even thinking.

The problem is the press will claim a select minority as being everyone. I was at both QPR away games and Spurs in the FA Cup and at best there was 5-10% booing Anton and 0.01% chanting over the minutes silence yet this gets reported as if it were a majority

When it comes to Chelsea there is no rationale or perspective amongst media ranks at all but I'd like to hope the vast majority remain dignified
