Some of us need to go to work mate! Tough

I thought you were referring to the present day when you talked about the UK having the most terrorist attacks. Clearly we have suffered many, many attacks when you look back historically, with Irish extremists responsible for a large number.

In recent times the UK are way down the list of Countries who have suffered the most terrorist attacks and that is the point I was alluding to.

With regards for your contempt for the British security services, I can only assume that you are speaking out of total ignorance.
The British security services are among the best in the World and our Special Forces are widely regarded to be the best that there is. MI5 and MI6, along with GCHQ do rather mistrust the security services of many of our European allies and share an awful lot of Intelligence with the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
And, some of us don't need to go to work.....

On the main news in NY tonight the reader called Brussels "The Capital of the EU".
That's why I'm voting out ,clueless...us English are lucky we got the channel.. London has and always will be top of the table in Europe.

You thought wrong!, Contempt, absolutely not, please not try to justify your comments by making things up. Your view of the British Security services are only what you read in the Sun, the truth is you have no idea, just what you read and what you like to be real. By the way they may well be the "best in the world, but there is no way you can prove that!

As far as recent:

Supt Mark McEwan said that from September 2014 there had been 15 bomb incidents in the Derry City and Strabane District council area.

I clearly know a lot more about these things than you do my friend.

It is you silly sod x

The EU has no official capital, and no plans to declare one, but Brussels hosts the official seats of the European Commission, Council of the European Union, and European Council, as well as a seat (officially the second seat but de facto the most important one) of the European Parliament.
Silly Sod x

Despise him as we might, Tony Blair issues a truly terrifying, and I believe accurate, warning today. He says that ISIS must be utterly crushed and soon, otherwise recent terrorist attacks will be dwarfed. This form of Islam is only interested in dominance, not dialogue (no argument there), and worst of all, though they may not all be prepared to blow themselves up, it has millions, rather than thousands, of followers.

It's truly frightening to think that we may not be safe in any European city. I think he's right but as I posted earlier, I think it's vital that the moderate Muslims sort this out themselves, or else we will just give ISIS more ammunition to fuel their jihad against the western world.

Wonderful hindsight from our Tone, shame he and Dubya didn't realise their unwarranted actions had consequences...

I'm no Blair apologist Sooper, but read the full article in the Sunday Times. I don't agree with it all (you wouldn't expect me to agree with a Catholic convert, would you?) but there is a lot in it that resonates with me. I actually have no problem with the Iraq war in itself, just the lies that were used to get us into it and the pathetic end game played by us and the USA. The actions were, in my opinion, warranted, they were just shockingly poorly planned and implemented.

What an absolutely shocking story about the Muslim shop keeper Asad Shah, who posted a goodwill Easter message to all his Christian customers and was stabbed to death by an extremist Muslim nutter.

Has there ever been a less tolerant religion than the Muslim faith?

Yes, at times Christianity is not very tolerant. This island is a classic example. All faiths have intolerant people.

Agreed. All faiths do have intolerant people. The Islamic faith does seem to be incredibly sensitive and intolerant though.
