    Odd choice of place to target. You'd expect it here and the US but Norways hardly a force in World Affairs.

    They usually get involved in most UN and joint-force Missions, either directly with troops, or in support; medics /logistics etc

    If it is Al Qaeda it's a relatively easyy way of proving there's still an organisation after Bin laden. I'd guess Norway's a softer target as it certainly is less overtly security minded than many other major cities (in that yopu donlt see police and soldiers all over the place) and, as others have pointed out, they do have troops all be it mainly for logistics.

    Very sad news and I just hope that the casualty list doesn't grow.

    The blast is said to have blown out windows 1 kilometer away from the actual car bomb......

    Terrorists planting bombs where random people are affected makes me sick, fair enough if they hate the government or whatever but why should joe average get blown to bits.

    My money is on A-Qaeda, as there were 3 suspects arrested in Norway a couple of weeks ago, and Norway has troops in Afghanistan, and is also a soft target with less security than UK or US.

    They are now reporting that someone has identified himself as police officer at a summer camp on an island, and shortly after that opened fired against everyone. There are over 500 kids/teenagers on the island, many are trying to swim to the mainland.......

    Probably with connection to the Oslo bombing.....(I'll try to find a source in English)

    Edit: My Norwegian aint 100% (they are televising Norwegian tele now in Sweden). I got the news from there......
