A little surprised that anyone is surprised by the Arsenal wage structure (which looks relatively believable). If you add in Wenger (supposed to be on £6 mill per year (£120k per week), their weekly wage bill is about £1.3 mill(+ tax). For a home game, their gate receipts would be about £2- £2.5 mill, and obviously with the add ons of TV money, merchandising etc., it looks a pretty sustainable model.
Man City on the other hand. I'd expect to have probably about 10 players earning Podolski like wages or higher. I'd love to see what their total wage bill was!
My son is an Arsenal Supporter. For the top home games against the likes of Chelsea and Spurs the cheapest seat is £65, my son paid £90 to see the forthcoming Spurs match and the top price is well over £100. On such games the total take is £6m!!. 50 years ago Redruth and I were paying 15p to get into Carrow Road!!!
