**** Song, I can't even be bothered to be angry about him forcing a move. If players don't want to pull on the shirt then **** 'em, show them the door and concentrate on the players who will fight for the Arsenal
Niot denying your sources are reliable, but it is all conjecture and rumours, however what is undeniable and a fact is yet another key member of the first team has been sold. Let us for the sake of argument assume, Song (who still has at least 2 years on his contract) was a poisonous influence, charlatan, a prick and all the bad stuffs that is synonymous with modern day footballers really wanted to move, are you telling me the club (a club of Arsenal staure) could not make a stand against Song, banish him from the first team? Was the offer of 16mill or whatever the price was too tempting to turn down...... Was Song surplus to requirement in our midfield heaving with players of his ilk? I guess we will see when Wenger re-invests in a replacement comparable or even better than the departed Song.
No that would just be counter-productive and while City can do that with Tevez we can't. We would not have the Song money and by setting an example we would have Song in the stands and not on the pitch. Hopefully we replace him after getting the money and then move on. Maybe we can even get a proper DM who might actually sit and protect the back four.
Anyone think that Song might get a frosty reception from Fabreags ? Cesc was 'in shock' at RVP leaving, I wonder what he makes of Song ditching us too ?
Mancity/Tevez scenario and Arsenal/Song is like comparing oranges and cheese. Lesser clubs than Arsenal have stood their ground on player petulance..... Agreed, not many clubs can keep a player of Tevez's stature in the stand all £50mll of in the stands. What you are in effect saying is, Song held Arsenal to ransome and the club had no choice...... Yup he is a money grabbing good for nothing and he will get what is coming to him at Barcelona....... (the pits of hell). I will keep my counsel and see how the money is re-invested (afterall it is money they did not anticipate)...... We will wait and see who comes in or it will be another promotion from within.
Fabregas followed up his Twitter 'shock' by saying that he was shocked that he'd lost three games of something (I think it was Jenga) in a row. Whether one believes that or not is a matter of personal choice.
No. What I am saying is that Song was acting like a prick and in the end the club decided that it was in their best interest to get rid. Song is not good enough player for us to try and tolerate him and his behaviour. He is also not a player who is going to be impossible to replace. We do not need him moping around the place, we need players that want to be here. The Sahin deal is close and hopefully we will get another DM. Then when Song is at Birmingham in two years, we can laugh at him.
It's all Darren's fault is it? Shame he is not Bendy's agent eh? Seriously, though there is nothing stopping an Agent representing a player, I am sure players are free to move agents, I have seen fans on other forums breathe a sigh of relief that Song is the last of his client at our club. What will happen if Darren now represents TV? I don't think it is Darren's fault anyway, agents are like estate agents, they have no morals, but you have to deal with them. The fact remains for whatever reason, we keep selling key team members..... really frustrating.
It's more annoying with Darren Dein, because of who his dad is. I find it ironic, that the man who helped build wenger's dynasty, has a son who is hell bent on destroying us
I dunno man, you cant blaime top player for leaving if the club they are playing for is'nt even trying. We're coasting, playing it safe and cashing in rather than doing what all the TOP clubs do and try their very best to compete. At some clubs its 'win above all else' at Arsenal its 'make a profit above all else'.
Both RVP and Song wanted out, there's not much the club can do about that. They signed three top quality players and maybe a couple more, so I don't think it's fair to accuse them of not trying.
