Yes but ultimately it lies at the managers door.

 

For me, I disagree. The players are on the pitch. The PL players are being paid thousands of pounds a week. The players shouldn’t need somebody else to tell them something needed changing. I agree EH & Co should have noticed and addressed it but it doesn’t absolve the players.

 

Taken a lot of calming down from that last night...

1. Get Pope back in goal, for Christ's sake. We had 2 ****ing games to go. How many ****ing points better off would we have been with him in sticks?
2. Schar - same... get your best players on the pitch.
   
3. Longstaff - by admission, playing through allsorts of pain / injections ALL season. Get him off and Big Joe on.
4. PLAY THE BEST PLAYERS AVAILABLE.
5. Trippier - **** knows what to say. Retarded. What was he thinking???
6. VAR - wow. Just **** off man. How is that not a penalty, and Jota vs us was? Or our Isak one against wolves i think it was... it's just ridiculous.
7. Amad - erm - mark him. Can't blame the coaching staff for that entirely uunless they instructed us to continually leave him free...
8. Missed chances... Everyone to blame, but WHY, WHY did Isak not cut back inside onto his right foot, like he does ALL the time, and send Amrabaat into another dimension before slottting it, or squaring it? AAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH.

Aside from that I really enjoyed it. Nearly broke the arm off the sofa. Had to go for a 30 min walk to calm down afterwards. Need to do the same now.

Ultimately Howe is in charge of the players though, not the other way round.

If things like that keep happening and we keep losing games because of it, Howe will be sacked, not the players.

 

I think set pieces are more on the manager/ coaching staff anyway, they are dead ball situations which you can work on.

It's the fact it kept happening and then they scored, it's just amateurish, should have been stopped after the first time.

 

I just want us to actually turn up in a big game, one time, it never bloody happens.

We nearly ****ed the Leicester game last season where we only needed a point to get CL.

We are so weak mentally and it needs to change.

This is where I do agree with Chaos on the Europa Conference debate.

I know it's deemed a lesser competition and shouldn't warrant a huge celebration party, but IF we won it, then it might just be a stepping stone to help gain that winning mentality and self belief the players & coaching staff (and us fans) need.

If we don't qualify for it, then fair enough - we'll have fewer games, so can make a real charge for CL places. But IF we do get that Europa Conference spot then I think we should really go for it.

 

That wasn't the line of attack under previous managers mind.

 

**** me, this is getting old. That fat **** had them training a few days a week and spending the rest of the time wondering what to do with themselves.

We get it, you would prefer that people were nicer to Cabbage Head, but he was ****e for the club. End of.

So you must surely understand there's nothing wrong with credit and criticism when it's due.? People get a little tetchy when the messiahs get challenged in any way shape or form, but I myself was lambasted for crediting previous managers for wins and good league finishes under the circumstances. I try to be fair even if it's seems extreme on either side it's coming from a place of belief.
